Lindley sucks so badly, if BA thought Logan gives us better offense I'd be inclined to trust him.

Problem with LT is the game is so fast for him right now he doesn't look comfortable back there. He is thinking too much and not using his instincts.

I don't think the read option with Thomas would be all that effective. Seattle has just spent the week preparing for SFs read option, and -- they also see it from their own offense.

IF BA thinks Thomas gives the team the best shot to win-- so be it.

On the pregame show the NFL "expert" (who I can't remember his name) said BA told him he has put in a package of plays for LT. Lindley seems to be the guy but LT could be in in certain situations.

BA/Moore will have them as ready as they can. I'll take that any day.

You know I don't think the team is going to do anything other than scratch and claw for a win.

This is a very deceptive game. We are at home, we can be a ridiculously good defense, and we're playing for the division.

I predict pain :)

Peter King just said the same thing on Sunday Night Football pregame show.

It makes sense to have Lindley start and be a game manager with LT coming in for a series here and there to mess with the Seahawks. I do agree with Karma though that the Seahawks should be very well prepared for the read option.

But IMO you don't tell the media your intentions, unless you're trying to get them to prepare for it & not do it :D

Not a bad thought, but Peter King was acting like it was secret breaking news. Maybe better said that he was the first to have this info and was very proud. King has been very supportive of the Cards so I doubt BA wants to burn that bridge with the media.

I guess my main point was don't be telling media your game plan. How many times have you heard a coach do that on the record?

Oh I agree but BA may be going all double reverse psychology on Petey. It's not like Pete wouldn't consider the same thing anyway.

Who knows, maybe BA is taking this opportunity to find who the leak is or if we have one in the organization.

It's just the fog of war, you can say it and it really doesn't do anything other than get inside your opponents head.

Could be one series, could be 4, could be 10.

The object is to get your opponent to spend more energy on worrying about it than you spend on it and then it's a win before you play.

They merely reported that LT would have special packages, didn't say it was at QB. Maybe he's our new TE. ☺

That would be cool to see the hulk as an eligible receiver or te.

Bottom line is we're gonna win running the ball 40-45 times. Logan at least gives us another person in the backfield that can pull the ball in and run. If Lindley has to put it up 25+ times, we're toast.

I don't care if we go Zone Read, just win.

I don't see Arians modifying his offense that much to run 40-45 times in one game.

He did last season @ Seattle and we won

my only fear with bringing Thomas in to run the ball is that Seattle is going to KNOW that's what's going to happen and play the zone-read better then most teams in the league because they practice against one of the best running that every week.

if Thomas DOES get in for a couple plays, I think BA has to try and surprise them with a pass on a couple plays.

Actually... who am I kidding? whatever BA wants with Thomas at QB I have to support. The guy has done the most incredible head coaching job this year I've ever seen. Gotta trust him unequivocally at this point.

Arians straight out said that Logan Thomas just wasn't ready. I take that to mean he hasn't mastered the routes/playbook yet. I think he believes in Thomas' ability, but hasn't learned the offense. You keep a 3rd QB for potential.. you start someone who knows the offense.

I don't like Lindley as a QB at all, but he'll be starting next Sunday.

what irks me is that if LT is not ready (as stated by BA) where is the damn signing already!!!!

we needed someone added to the roster FRIDAY!!!! in case Lindley goes down.

It wont be on the active roster, unless Stanton goes on IR.

If anything, it'll be a practice squad player. See: Dennis Dixon.

good call - slight oversight in my logic. So I guess Logon it is with no other alternative on the roster this Sunday night...

.i am guessing they will work up some plays for logon then, if lindley sucks - its a "worth a shot"...you have to do the training regardless since lindley may go down.

as I have said all year....just still be A game going into the 4th - and ill be happy.

This is like asking would you rather die by burning or drowning.....but seriously....I say go with Thomas....because he has athletic ability and Lindy hasn't Thrown a TD ever!!!

we can win by no turnovers...play great defense...make fgs.....and run the ball.
