Come on man, everyone can read between the lines.

Can't you just say "I disagree" instead?

In 2004, Fisher did the infamous catch and shoot fade away in 0.4 seconds (physically impossible). Spurs fans, again, myself included, complained about it.

Wait, what are you saying here? That Fisher some how broke a rule when he stabbed the Spurs in the heart? It was one of the all time greatest playoff shots, and you lost fair and square. Are you really going to start saying he cheated somehow?

Oh please, please, please let him talk about the 0.4 second dagger. Let him question its legitimacy, how the Lakers must have cheated, etc. Oh please, please let it be the case that he shifts discussion to that! The beer and popcorn is on me, guys.

 :grabs:

My favorite part is how Duncan rolls to the floor, pretending to have been fouled in case the shot doesn't go in. And then of course, the dagger itself. :)

I have watched that shot a hundred times, I'm just struggling to figure out what part of it was cheating. He caught the ball, he threw the ball, the ball went in the basket. I'm at a loss on this one, they reviewed it 100 times, he got the shot off in time, and it went in the hoop. What more does he need to do?

FWIW, I was on the roof of The Standard in LA for a Playboy party with 200 Los Angelinos and Lakers fans huddled around two TVs when Fisher hit .4. Second most amazing sports moment in my life after Gonzo's single.

I hope I don't have any arrows. I don't hate the Lakers, but I don't like them either.

So by reading the responses, I can count 3 people who can't read in this forum.
When have I:
1) Said that Suns missing Stoudemire and Diaw made no difference (amazingly 2 people jumped to that conclusion.)
2) Said the Fisher shot was cheating?

But then it comes as no surprise, I can't expect people to be able to read through individual posts when the same group of people can't read through threads either.

ambchang you said the suns collapsed in game 5 right? thats implying that Stat and Boris wouldn't have made a difference, when their minutes alone would have made a huge difference rather than having our starters play 45 geesh.

How does the Suns collapsing in Game 5 have anything to do with implying that Stoudemire and Diaw won't make a difference?

Did I say that the Suns in Game 5 would have collapsed anyways if they had Stoudemire and Diaw? Those are two different issues. I really need you to explain your logic to me one more time.

First off, do you know what collapse mean? Perhaps you have a different dictionary than I do, but if I said, "The building collapsed", I am not implying, explicitly or implicitly, that the building would have collapsed anyways if two of the major pillars were not removed from the building, got it? It has NOTHING to do with it.

Back to Game 5, the Suns were up since 4:54 left in the 1st quarter, all the way until 36 seconds left in the game until Bowen hit a 3-pointer. They were once up 16 points! They were up 8 with a little more than 5 minutes left, but could only muster 2 FGs and 2FTs the rest of the game, yet allowing the Spurs to make 3 FGs (including 2 3pters), and 9 FTs (4 intentional fouls to ge the ball back). If this is not collapse, I am not sure what it was.

I am still trying to figure out how saying the Suns collapsed has anything to do with implying the two suspended players would not have made any difference.

They ran out of gas, yeah, have I ever said anything otherwise?
Any chance you ever thought that them collapsing was BECAUSE OF the Suns running out of gas? As in these two things compliment each other rather than contradict each other?

So let me lay it out for you:

Result: The Suns collapsed.
Hypothesis: The Suns ran out of gas because they lost two players.
Solution: Get a coach who plays his bench more minutes, rather than having a coach who plays his starters huge minutes after having the seeding locked up in the regular season.

The presentation of the result does not preclude the hypothesis. In fact, it could possibly allude to it. Got it?

For example, if a car stopped running because it ran out of gas, me saying that the car stopped does not imply that filling the car with gas would not have made a difference. In fact, me saying the car stopped helps bring out the fact that the gas wasn't filled.

Still couldn't get the part where me saying that they collapsed would somehow imply me saying that the presence of those two suspended players would not have made a difference.

So to sum up the question that you punctuated with an "!" (Is this actually a question!), no, it is not clear enough for me.

They ran out of gas you ass clown because we had to play so many minutes is that clear enough for you!

Is this really necessary? Read the rules on personal attacks.

Great moment! Shaq summed it up after the game, "One lucky shot deserves another."

That was the most painful play for me as a fan .... well ... since the Strickland pass. But that was like 14 years ago. I literally could not sleep that night, and knew that the repeat was done for. Phil Jackson made a great adjustment by packing the lane, daring Parker and Turkoglu to shoot. Turkoglu choked and couldn't make ANY wide open shots (funny how he's nail clutch shots for the Magic this year), and Parker just coulnd't shoot. Steve Smith was shot, man, was that painful .... doesn't matter though, the Pistons prevented the Lakers, and all was good.

And he continues to get away with it....

....and then people wonder why the Suns forum is the way that it is.

Update: The Spurs are still cheap. I turned on the Hornets vs. Spurs and the first three plays I see are:

1) Bowen pushes Paul down when they are running back down the floor after a made basket. No foul called.

2) Horry battles with Chandler for a rebound, then pushes Chandler away and flops. Foul called on Chandler.

3) Paul falls down and Bowen battles him for possession and Bowen kicks Paul in the ribs twice, on purpose. Paul is called for an offensive foul.

The Hornets are doing a great job battling through this crap though.

If the Suns dont win the ring, i hope the Hornets do. I like how they play the game and I love Chris Paul. Spurs are perennial hackers and floppers. Its a waste even trying to deny it.

I saw this sequence. Bowen kicks Paul while Paul is on the floor, on his back trying to get up. Classy.

Nice that the Spurs got waxed, though.
