Lamar Jackson isn't a QB. Isn't a RB. And Isn't a WR. he's the ultimate WTF prospect and would have been horrible last year. Probably would have gotten seriously hurt. I would have lost my soup if they drafted Jackson.

Rosen & Murray are QB's.

VanderEsch, Alexander or James would have been my first choices with what went before us. With Ragnow just below them.

Yeah that WTF prospect went 6-1 as a starter.I think he will improve his game this season also.

Yes he did. His team masked just how truly bad he was as a thrower.

Jackson acknowledged his QB issues and knows what he needs to work to continue to improve with the Coaching staff. He is a work in progress and he knows it as do the Ravens.

I think Jackson is far closer to Tebow than he is to Murray. Just like Tebow you can win with him with a strong defense and managing the clock but I don't think it will hold up more than a few seasons.

It depends on how well Jackson improves and what the team does to improve. You could possibly say the same about nearly every QB since they all have some warts in their game.Thinking any one QB prospect is foolproof is a risky gamble IMHO.John Madden said it best...…..when he asked several players at the Pro-Bowls he coached in what made them better them the rest of the league......talent helps but knowing what you don`t do well and making yourself put in the time and effort to improve in that area even if it is something you really hate to do.Madden says that every players likes to do something they like...…..the really good ones are willing to work on the things they dislike so they can get better.I always liked that way of thinking.

I am a big believer that a QB is either Accurate.... or Not accurate.

Lamar falls into the Horrifically poor at hitting open WR's further than 10 yards down the field category.

Like.... HORRIFIC. #35 in the league last year. His best ranking in ANY advanced stat was #32

His freaking red zone completion % was 37.5%. #54 in the LEAGUE!!!!

He was the starter for 7 full games and never completed more than 14 passes in a single game. He averaged 180 yards passing per start.

He had more fumbles (12) than TD passes (6) and TD rushes (5) combined!

He is one of the worst starting QB's in the league IMO and clearly deserves the label of: He freaking sucked.

respectfully disagree.I will wait and pass judgement on him after more time to work on improving.Since you are not the QB whisperer I take your opinion with a grain of salt.DrJones.

*in a hushed voice* use your eyes. See the light. Lamar is not the QB you are looking for. #Rosenbud

This is an objective thing. By every indicator, Jackson was awful.

You can disagree, but you are disagreeing with facts.

You know Trump said he talked to the President of the US Virgin Islands? Trump can believe he spoke to the Pres of the Virgin Islands, but fact remains, he did not speak with the Pres of the Virgin Islands. :)

Here is a fact for you.Jackson was 6-1 as the starting QB.Stick that in
Your stat stack. Jackson is a work in progress and he says so and knows he has much to work on.Fact is he was QB for 6 wins .Hate on him all you want but the Ravens seem to like him.I will take their word over a bunch of stat nerd haters.

I knew what he was saying and I was being PC and not telling him what I think of that insinuation. Its cool.Jackson is a quiet reserved young man who is very respectful and was raised that way by his mother. One test is not the end-all or a true measure. After watching Jackson for 3 years at Louisville and seeing how well mannered and respectfully he treated fans and media the assumption that LJ is dumb is ignorant.Soft-spoken and quiet fits him more than being less intelligent.
And his score isn't the worst.

Or any other black QB because that’s all we can compare black QBs to other black QBs right.
He could end up like Tim Couch, Tebow, Kelly Stouffer, Joey Harrington, Ryan Tannehill, Manziel, Cade McNown, David Carr, etc, etc, etc...Is that enough failed white QBs?

I'm shocked, then, that Baltimore isn't trying to dump him and draft Murray.

Well, he was probably looking in a mirror, with that conversation.

You forgot David Klingler. And The Ravens thought that Jackson is such a bust that they traded away their Super Bowl winning QB and threw their faith behind Jackson. I think I'll rely on the faith of an organization that has had only 1 losing season in the last 11 to believe they know what they're doing. Hell, why aren't we pursuing Ozzie Newsome to be our GM?
