Big question - is Chachi some one else captured, or a plant for Sawyer's mind-screwing??

I think it's a mind screw.

I thought that when they took Chachi into the woods that a gunshot would be heard, to really screw with Sawyer's mind.

Also, I think all of the info on them was taken from the drugged up characters - sort of a truth serum or something while also causing them to not remember anything about it.

No doubt D-dogg. She is gorgeous.

I've heard that one guy (the guy with the fake beard) use the name Carl before. I'm sure of it. It had to be the episode where they have the standoff in the jungle.

Did anyone see who came out from under Juliet's house at the beginning? I'm talking about whoever was working on her plumbing. I thought that might be Carl. I'm sure he was planted there to gain Sawyer's trust.

Joe

it was Ethan who was fixing the plumbing - not carl

and yes, i think carl was a plant by the others to psych sawyer out into thinking that there was no way to escape. they are playing some serious psychological mindgames with the three of them. my money on the person who is going to get the worst of it is going to be jack.

not sure if i agree with that. the others had plenty of time to gather information on the survivors if they have contact with the outside world (which i believe they do). when benry sent the two (ethan and goodwin) out to the wreckage he specifically told them that he wanted a complete list of people within three days. from that time until now - they would have more than enough time to get information on them. i think that is how they were picking some to bring to their camp.

You know, they can throw all kinds of twists at us--I just want to see Sayid kick some ass. That's it!

One of my favorite episodes so dar.

Dback Jon, great observation with the shark!

I think rescue is on its way now that Desmonds girl knows where they are.

I also believe they have either access to the mainland physically, or through communications. Thye have electricity for crying out loud. I dont think they are far from hawaii or some other populated island.

I think the new girl will fall for Jack. Benry tried to kill her by shutting th edorr when Jack flooded the room. So she no longer has loyalty imo.

I am wondering what in their backgrounds made them be picked (Jack, Sawyer, Kate)? Do we know that information yet?

I think its awesoem to view the show from the others perspective. Like Ethan etc.

One thing I do believe as well is that the writers went into a different direction with the others. Remeber how Ethan had superhuman strength when kidnapping Claire? Almost made them out to be aliens or something. Which is still possible I guess but doubtful. I think they were Dharma employees, so many psychologists.

Also, looking back, what did they want with Claire?

They made a point of showing us that they'd taken blood from Jack and Kate, but did they do that for Sawyer?

This doesn't really further the story, but seems like an easter egg kinda thing.

Starting the episode with a book club, does anyone consider the fact that the new woman's name is Juliet? As in Romeo and.... We've also got Ethan f-ROM-e. Henry Gale, (Uncle) Tom (Cabin) or Tom (Sawyer)? I don't know what Ben would be seeing as it's so common.

Anyways, could be something there.

I did notice the book was Stephen King but couldn't tell which one. I thought it might be the Stand where the survivors of the flu started a new society as if maybe that's what was going on with the others?

I read somewhere that The Stand was one of the influences when they created Lost a few years ago.

The Lost writers and producers gave him an exclusive interview for Entertainment Weekly for their Fall preview...

He absolutely loves the show.

Actually this is still open to debate, I mean after all the new girl downed Jack with just one swing and knocked him out cold. I don't know many girls who look like she does who could fell a guy with just one swing.

Add to the fact that she's all over the place--one minutes she's in an underwater aquarium with Jack, the next she's wandering through the jungle and just happens to run into Sawyer. Oh, and she just happens to have a stun gun with her as well.

I seem to remember reading that this show has something to do with twins. Perhaps there's more than one woman that looks like her.
