Yeah, but it would have taken 20 minutes. Des already had the scuba gear almost ready.

They could have gotten out just fine.

Charlie may have been under the impression that if the entire station filled under water that the group would not be able to communicate with the boat, he only had Desmonds premonitions that if he didn't die by drowning after flipping the switch that Claire wouldn't get off the island, so he accepted the sacrifice and closed the door saving the rest of the station so Claire and the baby could be saved.

Exactly.

Really off topic but I watching Tombstone yesterday and I noticed "Locke" played the mayor in the movie. I thought it was cool, but that may just be me.

Once I get a job I'll be getting seasons 1 & 2 on DVD. Then ask for 3 on Christmas. I'm going to watch all the epsiodes before season 4.

He did on highly a underrated show called Milennium. I own all 3 seasons.

The two hours of Jose Chung between X-Files and Millennium were the two very best hours on TV I've ever seen. Funny and brilliant.

I thought Lost was like Gilligan's Island for adults. Never watched an episode. Out of boredom my wife and started Net Flixing them last weekend.

Now we're about to start Disc 6 of Season Two and we're in disbelief we won't be able to see Season 3 until December. That is just very, very, very cruel.

If anyone were to have bootlegged copies of Season 3, I might ... oh, I better not.

Just wait. Season 3 will boggle your mind even more. Not sure of the legality of this, but you can watch them online in very good quality here: http://tv-links.co.uk/show.do/1/53

The "Stage 6" links are near DVD quality. Not all of them are available, but you can usually find the missing episodes by searching stage6.com itself.

Again, I'm sure it's not 100% legal to stream them. But ABC did gain another viewer (me) because of it. Can't wait until I can watch season 4 live, and speculate with everyone here after each episode. :)

Thanks for the link!

My impression after watching the first two seasons in a very short time: The only problem with the show is the Jack Shepard character. I can appreciate they did not want him to be absolutely good, but they've done little to explain why he might be so distrustful of John Locke or Kate. I find Jack extremely irritating, especially in this second season.

Locke is simply brilliant. My favorite character. The very first TV character I can honestly relate to -- the way he's dealt with difficulties in his life, how he now lives his life with his heart, the way he deals with people without making assumptions about them. He lets everyone around him decide how they want him to perceive them, even if it gets him into trouble in his pursuit of destiny.

I think I've found a new avatar. My wife says I kind of look at him in a "I've never had to starve on a deserted island before" kind of way. LOL I guess it's the bald head, eyebrows and eyes.

If anyone cares, I saw DVDs from season two on sale at Hollywood Video for $5 each. I think there are six or seven DVDs total. In any case, it might be cheaper to do this than buy a whole season (which I think I recall seeing for $50).

If I wasn't broke, I would have bought a bunch of those DVDs last night.

You could buy a complete used copy of S2 (with the box) that hasn't been watched 1000 times for the same cost off amazon.com or half.com/enay

Lowest price on half.com is 27.99 including shipping for a brand new copy.

Good to know. I'm not really in the market for the seasons on DVD, so I haven't really looked for them.

Are they going to start doing flash forwards as part of the story telling now? This is getting to be a sticky plot to follow. Makes me happy ABC knows you have to establish an ending date for the show, which they've already done.
