I've got 2003 and it's fine for me. I'll probably wait until I can get 2004 for half price at Hastings or out of the el-cheapo bin at Software Etc.

They sell so many dang EA Sports games it's easy to get cheap ones if you're willing to wait a while.

I've got Madden 2003 with Plummer and Jones, so yeah, I'm going to buy 2004 with Pace, Boldin, Smith, Jackson, Hodgins, Johnson and Blake.

I have a stange feeling that Boldin will get left off becasue of Johnson being a 1st rounder and there being 43 other recievers on the team. Someone will have to let us know the moment they get teh game.

me 2, but doesnt the game come out thursday the 14th? thats what it says on the web-site. I cant wait for it. The new owner mode will be awesome. You can move your team, create a stadium, set ticket prices, food and drink prices and much more. I can wait to open it.

Stores should recieve their initial shippments on Wednesday the 13th. Fry's Electronics guarantees to have it on the shelves by noon.

You can get madden for any system....ps1,ps2,xbox,gamecube! Is there any others???

I have the 2003 version and it's ok. Since I'm only playing in coaches mode I'm not pleased with the game balance. Big difference between simulated and played games.
I also hate the playstation like interface, that doesn't play the advantages of a PC.

The biggest draw back must be the lack of influence of the game plan. I can't edit it, let alone create my own play. That was excellent on my very old front page football.

If there is no improvement there, I will definitly wait until I get a bargain price for the 2004 as I did with the 2003 version (5$ 2 month ago) .

I always get the new one when it comes out, always have been a fan of Madden. But I have an Xbox and I heard the NFL2K series is very good, some even think it is better then Madden. I'm not sure which one I'm going to get this year.

Money is tight.

I got to:

1. Pay Bills
2. Pay off NFL Ticket
3. Buy Food
4. Pay of Credit Card
5. Put new shocks on the Car
6. Buy SoulCaliber 2 (Sorry but a 10 foot axe takes precedence)
7. Save $ for Christmas (By the way I HATE CHRISTMAS)
8. Then maybe I will get Madden 2004. I got 2003. What is the difference ?

You know, I feel like I'm looking in from the outside a lot of times in life...I just don't GET the appeal of video games. Absolutely NO desire to EVER play one. Kind of like my bewilderment towards Starbucks and coffee in general (I think coffee's disgusting)...

...but then again, it's just my opinion...

Big difference. New playmaker controls lets you break recievers out of patterns, call for blocks up-field ect.. Plus the most impressive is the new owner mode. You can hire your own Coaching staff, move you team, create a stadium, set prices for tickets,food, and drink. One more thing is updated rosters with all the rookies.

Was it Madden or NFL 2k4 that has the first person playing. You actualy play like your in the helmt of the player you pick. That is one thing I am very intrested in.

Picked up Madden 2004 last night. Played Lions @ Cards in exhibition on "rookie". Lost 17-14, but I screwed up.

The game looks cool, but don't expect too much out of "Playmaker". The game is almost too fast to do anything besides move your safeties over before the snap.

According to Madden, Gilmore and McAddley are our starting WRs, with Kasper in the slot, and Johnson as the 4th option. It's really neat to see Blake throw the deep ball in the game. It goes right off the screen!

It's funny that the only time you get to see a full SDS (for Cards games) is in video games.
