Talk about changin' things around.

Full List of Starters

Offense
WR – X Anquan Boldin
WR – H Larry Fitzgerald
WR – Z Bryant Johnson
TE Freddie Jones
LT Leonard Davis
LG Reggie Wells
C Pete Kendall
RG Cameron Spikes
RT Anthony Clement
RB Emmitt Smith
QB Josh McCown

Defense
LE Fred Wakefield
NT Russell Davis
UT Darnell Dockett
RE Bertrand Berry
SLB Gerald Hayes
MLB Ron McKinnon
WLB Ray Thompson
LCB Duane Starks
SS Adrian Wilson
FS Quentin Harris
RCB David Macklin

Specialists
K Neil Rackers
P Scott Player
LS Nathan Hodel

I dunno what to think. I feel that I have NO idea what to expect or who is the "rightfull starter". I am happy to see Dockett, and Fitz in there.

It is also good to hear Starks is feeling better, and that Adrian Wilson is doing well enough not to be picked off by Green.

What worries me are the situations that we have seen fail before.

Wakefield? Russel Davis? Anthony Clement? Reggie Wells?

We have seen everyone of these guys fail, and fail again. (BTW - Wells gets me nervous just because he was MANHANDLED LAST YEAR!) What does Green see or know that past people have not ?

And of course why in the name of Pete is Emmitt starting again?

This is such a drastic change, yet I am not fearfull. Just concerned.

Yet, we stunk so bad last year that drastic measures are probably needed.

As you know more than anyone I am not the best at putting what is in my head on the screen.

I mostly am concerned with some of the guys that we "know" can't get the job done.

Clement, Davis, Wells, Wakefield.

I haven't seen to much about that on any of the threads. But then again I don't have 4 to 5 hours read over the material. And the rest is just stuff I wanted to type out just to "get it off my chest".

Sorry if I am being redundant :D

You gotta remember ever since I left that HORRIBLE job I had I have not had the endless hours in front of the computer that I used too........and I ain't retired yet! :p

Peace Tango, keep up the good work lots of good stuff I HAVE been reading.

Bah,

The days of yelling and screaming on this thing are OVER!

Especially with Tango cause he is cool.

And I had more rounds against CheeseBeef......is he posting again I haven't seen to much of him in a while. I last heard he was in Hawaii or somethin'

Peace

BTW - what is a Lambs fan doing on this thing? Hey Buddy you think Torry Holt will ever take a hit in this league or will he continue to be a wuss and hit the dirt soon as somebody comes near him. :D

I'm with ya buddy. Quentin Harris? Has he even really played much on special teams in his career with us. I know his jersey #, that's about all I know about him.

Easy there guys. The :) seems to indicate some mild sarcasm. I got a little chuckle out of it and don't think the guy was really personally attacking anyone. Man everyone is a bit touchy on here these days. Whats Up

speaking for myself, I'm less than impressed with someone who essentially makes their debut here with a post like that...sarcasm or not.

I find it strange that someone comes to a Cards board with their initial posts in a way putting down Card players....sarcastic or not.

I'm just tired of some of these romper room antics by some.

Chill Out

You guys are way to touchy. I wasn't making fun of Cards players. I'm a huge Cardinal fan and had season tickets for many years. I was just poking fun of someone who knows the numbers of guys who don't play that much. I'll put my fandom up against any of you here. I used to post here fairly regularly but had to register again after being gone for a year to Iraq. I even monitored this site while I was over there when I could. The last place I was stationed was Camp Baker in Najaf. We had a Hadji who set up an internet cafe on post. I had to pay to view this site but it was worth it.

By the way I'll give you a little trivia to use on your friends. The next time you are watching the news and you see Najaf mentioned ask them if they know how the city got it's name. You can then inform them that when Alexander the Great was ruling from Babylon he decided to make a great river through the desert. He decided to call it the Na river. Well it ended up being an impossible job and the project was abandoned after Alexanders death. A city sprang up around the big dry ditch and since the word for dry or without water is jaf the locals called the city Najaf. The Na river without water. You can still see the ditch by the way.

Now just relax. I know some of you think that there is nothing more important than the Cardinals and this message board. I can assure you there are many things more important and relevent in the world. This board should be a little fun and tongue-in-cheek, not life or death.

Don't worry, they're good people once you start posting more. I remember I cracked a joke about Coach Mac when I was new and I don't think it was appreciated by everyone :D

Don't let Tango get to you, he can be a little hyper at times.

Once you get to know him he is still hyper but he is our hyper.

Don't mind Tango. He gets in "moods". But he is a cool guy, and great pot stirrer.

He is also old so he is easily angered. :D I am sorry I couldn't help it. That is one free smack to the back of the head for Tango.

But enjoy the board it is a great place for info on the Cards, and to communicate with some really nice people.

Peace

BTW - I still think starting Clement, and Wakefield is a mistake. Wells has to prove he can play in the NFL

I believe the term is "crotchety" Rugby.

....and head slaps to the back of the head might only make me more hyper yet. That could be really dangerous. :D

And Perivolaki, welcome back to the board.

I still say debuting with sarcasm is not what I would call a wise way of doing it.
No one knows who you are yet, or what your agenda is.

It's like "don't call me a ****** if you aren't one" type of thing. (and I use that only for examples sake. There is absolutley nothing else intended than just that).

Often times this place gets over-run with post puberty brats that do nothing but post of bunch of their "you suck, he sucks, everyone sucks" mentality type garbage.

Your post just struck me as another one of those.

No Harm No Foul

I really didn't mean any harm. I just think it's kind of funny how much everyone, me included, knows about the Cards. Come on, you have to admit it, sometimes at work you go off on a story about a player that will be the next probowler that now is residing on the practice squad and everyone rolls thier eyes. Come on the first step to recovery is to admit you have a problem.

By the way Vince I hope you didn't take it personally. I thought it was funny because I saw a lot of myself in your post. Sounds like you have a good sense of humor though.

Things could change

You know this thread got me thinking. If Denny Green is successful things will really change and not always for the better. This is a pretty eclectic group. I guess everyone knows each other fairly well. If this team starts winning everything will change. It won't be the just the die-hard fans anymore. Not only will a lot of the new fans not know jersey numbers, they most definitely won't understand who Mao Tosi is and a Justin Lucas thread will deteriorate pretty quickly.

I had a friend who was a fan of a college team that was terrible for years and he loved being a fan. It was like it was an exclusive club. The team started to do real well several years ago and I thought that this guy must be in all his glory. I ran into him recently and asked him about his school. He told me he didn't really follow them to much anymore. I was suprised and asked him why? He told me "ya know every prick in the state is a fan now." It just seemed to take all the fun out of it for him. The new fans were obnoxious and had never suffered through the bad times and has no sense of history.

So be careful what you wish for. That being said I hope the Cards win every game and the stadium is a sea of red. I have patience. I will take the time to explain about the bad times and how great Larry Centers was and how bad George Boone was. But it will definitely be different. Better hold onto your seats it could be quite a ride.

Welcome to the board perivolaki. Always happy to hear from a serviceman. Maybe you can jump over to the P & R board and give us some of the trials and tribulations you faced in Iraq.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. Do you know how many 15 page threads we've had about Mike Stone  Sad, just sad, hahaha :p

You know what's odd, I've found that most people I've run into that live in Phoenix and are fans of other football teams, they still follow the cards... a "little". For instance, I work with a die-hard bills fan and another guy that's a giants fan. These guys rip on me for liking the cards (all in good fun of course), yet every once in a while when I'm talking to them they'll bring up some obscure cards player or fact that only a cards fan would know. I think most football fans in AZ would like to root for the cardinals, they just don't want to root for a loser.

I know what you mean. I think there are a lot of undercover Cards fans out there. But it's kind of like living in Arizona. Almost everyone came from somewhere else. When you or I got here it was great and we added to the flavor and culture. But the minute we arrived we wanted to shut the door. Too many people here. Got to stop all those newcomers from ruining our paradise. For many people this board is there little slice of paradise and somebodys ready to put up a parking lot. :)
