Boldin obviously was hurting but came to play...he made huge catches and he played the whole game hurt. He is awesome in my opinion. Give him what he wants he has played his heart out for us. He deserves it..he was here when we were bad and really has stuck with us.....he deserves to be rewarded. I think the team feeds off his heart and plays even better.

How about DRC with that amazing INT with a cast on his hand?

Boldin will never have to prove his ability to play through pain to me, however, I believe Coach Wiz should have kept him off the field so that his ankle can heal. He could barely run later in the game and we have other receivers, Urban and Doucet who could have stepped in and taken the load off of him.

I tend to agree. But all 3 of his catches were pretty damned big ones.

Good thread...credit where credit is due.

It was painful just to watch him come in motion, stop then turn back. He was really hurting but was out there helping his team. I love this guy and hope he gets paid what he deserves.

He played his heart out. I actually hope we sit him vs. Carolina and let his ankle heal.

Got to love everything that Boldin gives this team.

However, I think he is hurting us. Towards the end of the game he was running at 50%. There is no way he should have been out there. Let Boldin sit till his ankle heals. We will need him more down the stretch.

Q is a WARRIOR....

BUT I agree that he NEEDS time to heal. I watched the Bills/Panthers' game. The Panthers are NOT playing well at all. This would be a GOOD week to let Q heal and give Early a chance to contribute. GO CARDS! :D

Delhomme is awful. How they gave him an extension is beyond me. That sent them back a few years. We exposed him in the playoffs and he hasn't been able to recover. However, they still have Stewart, Williams, Smith, Peppers, etc. They are still dangerous. We can not sleep lightly.

I'm sure they will have a little special something for us anyway after the beating we gave them in the playoffs.

Yup! You know they will be FIRED up this week to play us and exact some revenge. Losing at home in embarrasing fashion to the Bills on Sunday prob wont help matters either.

Just like Steve Breaston's knee,It won't heal totally the whole season. It needs a full off season plus for Breastons knee to heal properly,so we'll have to take it week by week and game by game to see how it swells up and he'll always be on the injured list.

Well to get to the main point.Boldins ankle is a HIGH ANKLE sprain that takes a very, very long time to totally heal and if you play on it before its totally healed its gonna swell back up and need that lengthy time again.I'm just glad if that high ankle sprain had to happen to anyone it was Boldin of the players we need to win the SB.

Because Boldin can play through pain like no other player on our team except Kurt Warner.Kurts shoulder has been hurting since that late hit he got from Willis in the 9ers game and it has'nt gone away yet.One other player in the NFL is on IR after recieving a severe stinger like that already this season. You'd have to cut either of these guys arms off to keep them off the field. They both have proven it already with the facial repair and early return from Boldin and Warners playing without a left arm for almost a full season.
