Still don't understand how Denver with cold weather, outside stadium, lack of quality receivers, John Elway and dealing with Tebowmania would appeal to PM.

Being outdoors in the cold weather obviously wasn't that high up on his criteria list. I think the biggest factor was Denver is in the weakest AFC conference and that outweighed everything else.

So do you think the NFL will announce the Saints' punishment for the bounties today so that the news gets lost in PM's wake? Or do they wait to let it die down before announcing?

With Peyton heading to Denver, Broncos may sign Jeff Saturday

Peyton Manning has spent almost his entire NFL career putting his hands under Jeff Saturday’s backside, and he may continue to do that in Denver.
Shortly after the news broke that Manning has informed the Broncos he wants to sign with them, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Manning and John Elway have already talked about the Broncos signing Saturday, a free agent center who has been with the Colts since 1999.
Smart move by Denver.

According to the interweb tweets.

I also read it on a major board. Seems like a good fit for Manning. Elway talks the talk and they apparently do not think Tebow can do it. They will try and trade Tebow. I think it is the team that has Gabbert that has already shown an interest in Tebow. Tebow is an interesting QB to say the least. It will be interesting to see if he can develop into a pure passer? If not he sure can develop into a RB. If you are down on the 3yd line and need to make 3yds for a TD then Tebow should be a man you would want. Tough as they come and has good sense and character. I would take him in a minute as a backup as he has a chance to become a big time QB. I say he has a chance not "will". Wonder what his new team will give up to get him?
Halleluiah! the Manning dog and pony show has come to an end. This should go down as one of the great shows of all NFL history. Now we can start worrying about who will be our real QB. Is Hall still on this team? If so then why?

Hell of a consolation prize, I guess. We don't get Manning, but at least we didn't royally screw up our already tenuous QB situation like SF did within such a short span of time.

Poor tebow

If there is one thing Tebow is not it is POOR! Neither is Leinart? Early QB picks are seldom poor whether they are good or bust. Tebow can make it big as a model if all else fails.

FYI, Denver post is reporting a possible 5yr $90mil contract. Yikes!

Guess it will depend on how much is guaranteed.

Wow. I thought PM said he would be willing to sign an incentive based contract? I guess that went out the window with all the suitors lining up.

I'm kind of interested in his reasoning because it's not like he's got any A level receivers there and I doubt Wayne will follow. Clark maybe but that's all. They really don't have anything there worth bragging about offensively. We have 5 times the offensive weapons Denver has.

Of course it did. You offer up an incentive based contract when you worry that teams won't take a chance on you. It's something that somebody like TO would do. When you have a bunch of teams chasing you, you drive up the price and take the money. Going to the worst conference in the AFC didn't hurt either.
I don't think the Cards were in a position to match that contract.

Wayne has signed back with the Colts.

So... Horseface convinces Horsehead that he really needs to stay on a team that is Horse-like?

I personally don't care if they go 16 and 0 and then make it to the Super Bowl. Were not playing them and he's still in the AFC and most importantly he didn't sign with the 49ers.

YES we are playing them...IN THE SUPERBOWL BABY!
