Even more impressive is that he only has 6 or 7 practices or so.

Very poised and confident under intense defensive pressure. Made smart decisions, passed to the sidelines and got the Cards into field goal range in a 30 second drive.

I know it is only about 5 minutes of action, but you can just tell we have our QBOF.

Yeah, he just looks like he knows what he's doing. I'm not too big on using the word "natural" with QBs, but it's awful tempting with him.

But according to the likes of Theissman, he doesnt have a strong enough arm to succeed.

He started off 1-3, but has now completed his last 10 passes...and nothing looked difficult. He could be scary good down the road.

So far today:

11-13 100 yards 1 TD 0 INT. That's a QB rating of 124. Not too shabby.

We may have a QB controversy.

Both guys look good, and it's nice to have 2 exceptional QBs, but Warner's constantly putting the ball high & late, making his receivers vulnerable. Boldin was jawing him early in the game on that 8 yard pass to the right flat. If the ball was half a second earlier & 3 feet lower in the air, Boldin may have been able to make a play after the catch instead of getting hit immediately.

The thing I like seeing in him as a rookie is that if something goes wrong, like he slips, he doesn't freak out, he just makes the easy play and avoids a mistake.

We should draft more cross-eyed fat kids.

There will be a controversy ....next year. At least let's hope so. If there is a controversy this season, it means we're in the tank.

Also, to be fair, Leinart was getting much better blocking. Warner really got rocked a few times.

Can I just say that I love this kid? He is incredible, I wonder if the 2nd and 3rd string guys are asking "what's he doing on the field against us scrubs? He's good"

We really need to do something nice for the Titans management. A nice gift basket or something.

We're even with the Lions because we let them sign their QBOF from us...

Next year (and for years to come) this will be Matt's team. And it is in very good hands.

Very, very. polished. He knows how to run a pro offense and with weapons like Boldin, Fitz, Johnson and (yes) Pope the Cards have a very bright future!!

my prediction - Warner gets injured by Game 5 and Matt actually comes in, struggles a little bit, gets better and Kurt never sees the field again for the Arizona Cardinals.

If it were up to me, I'd sacrifice the entire year to start Matty from Game 1 - I have ZERO confidence in Warner to take us to anything more than 7 wins and if we don'tmake the playoffs, who gives a crap what our record is this year because with a full year under his belt, i believe Leinart WILL be one of the best QBs in the league - period.

Yup - I said it. The kid is pure solid gold.

Me too. Let Warner start this year (it's not like he's sucking, he's playing much better than he was at this point last year) and play Leinart if we have too. Then, the reins can be handed to Leinart next year.

I'm excited as everyone else about Leinart. I never, ever backed off that he was clearly in the top 3 of the draft. But, even so, probably the only way to screw him up is to force him to be #1 and carry all the pressure on his shoulders. He had a great game and all that, but it's still just preseason.

patience grasshopper. Besides, I don't think Kurt Warner gives us that much better chance of winning than Matt. I look at Warner and I see a washed up QB who can make a couple nice passes, but plays with zero confidence and throws ducks up for grabs.

The sooner Matt gets in there, the sooner he learns, which means the sooner we GET... TO... THE... SUPER BOWL!
