The Suns at 14-14 in the West are a half game behind the Warriors.

Think the Suns actually show up tomorrow?

I’m hoping they just man up and play ball. Absolute no passion or fire, just like they are going through the motions. If they continue to play the way they are Dallas is going to blow them out of the water on Christmas.

Logic would say so but I don't understand this team.

We haven't put together 4 quarters of effort in one game so far this year. Lately we start games good. Maybe even be up at the half. Then we give it up in the second half. Teams are just outplaying us.

In all reality, this rivalry game really isn't. Booker was here two years ago when they punked us. Is he the only one left here when that happened? It's a whole different team.

I remember being absolutely shocked when the #Suns were getting it handed to them by the Mavs in Game 7. Can't lose to them at home, especially when a national audience is watching.
I wouldn't take that bet. We've proved we can lose to anybody, anywhere so we know the Mavs can beat us. Hopefully they'll show up late expecting us to be the patsy we've been playing like and we'll find a way to steal the game.

Maybe the Suns need to watch this video for some instruction.

I can see the Suns losing. It's 50/50 in game sevens. You don't want to see your team just getting obliterated. It's funny, people are making things about his numbers in close out games, but to the eye test I remember feeling only Booker and one other player were actually giving it their all in that game. We got curb stomped in that game.

This seems to be getting a lot more attention elsewhere.

I played Varsity in Jr High, they bussed me over to the HS, first day I was scared to death.
Walked into the gym and said "looking forward to learning, playing bla bla"
Grabbed a ball and hit the smoothest full court skyhook you've ever seen, in front of everyone.
Sadly my best shot in that uniform that year. Sometimes you just get lucky.

ESPN.com has an article up about the Christmas day games and this stunt a little, even though we've all sort of talked about the Suns being awful as of late.

3. Which Christmas Day game is most likely to become a playoff rematch?

Bontemps: Let's be spicy and say Mavericks-Suns -- in the play-in tournament. We've seen Phoenix have to deal with one absence after another early on this season, as the fears about the Suns' injury-prone stars have been realized. Luka Doncic, while playing a lot of minutes, is keeping Dallas afloat with Kyrie Irving out with a foot injury. And with the history between the various players involved (the Booker-Doncic rivalry and a potential Durant-Irving reunion), sign me up for a one-game elimination game

Link to article. Same writer also predicted there's at least 1 ejection in the game tonight.

I know the feeling. I chased an errant pass and caught up with the ball just before going out of bounds. I couldn't stop in time so for the first time in my life I threw up an almost 3/4 court hook shot that hit the backboard and went in. The crowd (the very small crowd) went wild as we were playing at home and it pulled us to within 30 at halftime. Afterwards, I started practicing that shot but I never made one again. In retrospect I should have spent that practice time at the free throw line.

My parents were weird about going to my sports games. They didn't want to put pressure on me. I also had an Uncle that went nuts at his grandkids sports. So my parents didn't want to be "those" parents. My highlight my freshman year was my mom and little brother actually showed up for a game. My teammates gave me the ball with the clock winding down, I literally dribbled past EVERY single players on the court in a half court defense, flipped the ball up for a dandy reverse layup as the buzzer went off. This was only going into halftime. Not like I won the game or anything. My teammates literally carried me off the court. My Mom and brother left at the half. I don't remember my family ever showing up for another basketball game, so that's the image they have of me playing basketball. I got pretty lucky I pulled that off in front of family.

I haven't been able to watch many games yet, but the Mavs have been kind of mid without Irving. They had a good start to the year, but have lost to the teams that are better than them. Dereck Lively is a nice rookie for Dallas. He is already producing at a higher level than expected.

For the Suns, I think their issues revolve around them playing as a team. There is no "I" in "team."

Dallas appears to have been done a better job in this regard.
