Green Hill beats Beech, Stockwell hits 50th career HR
HENDERSONVILLE — Avary Stockwell hit her 50th career home run Tuesday night as Green Hill, jumped to an early lead for a change, overpowered host Beech 8-3 at Veterans Park.

Stockwell’s home run to center field made it 6-1.
The Lady Hawks, who had a run of come-from-behind wins, some from way behind, jumped to another quick getaway Wednesday at Mt. Juliet’s Mike Gwaltney Field, taking a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning before lightning put a halt to the proceedings.
The teams waited for well over an hour before calling it a night. Mt. Juliet coach Kevin Costley said a makeup date had not been decided.
