Setting a new place at the table for Spidey, Marvel has reshuffled Thor: Ragnarok to November 3, 2017, sent Black Panther to July 6, 2018, and Captain Marvel to November 2, 2018. The mega team-up pics Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 and 2 will be released as planned in 2018 and 2019, respectively, before Marvel’s Inhumans hits theaters on July 12, 2019.

To be honest, don't really care about Black Panther or Captain Marvel getting pushed back.

'Creed’ Helmer Ryan Coogler Confirmed to Direct

http://collider.com/black-panther-ryan-coogler-director-marvel/

It’s official! Creed helmer Ryan Coogler will direct Black Panther. After months of rumors of his involvement, Marvel officially confirmed today that Coogler will direct Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa in the iconic hero’s first solo film after his highly-anticipated introduction in Captain America: Civil War.

Coogler, who previously earned festival success with his devastating drama Fruitvale Station, is currently riding high on the massive success of Creed — a critical and commercial success alike that not only rebooted the stagnant Rocky franchise with gusto, but landed Sylvester Stallone a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor. Coogler also recently took home the LA Film Critics award for Best Director.

It's too bad Marvel does not have the rights to Ororo Munroe aka Storm. She married T'Challa in the comics.

Maybe they can work something out like they did with Spidey...

To be honest, don't really care about Black Panther or Captain Marvel getting pushed back.

I felt the same way when it was announced and didn't even think about it until after finishing Civil War. I want to see the Black Panther movie much more than Dr Strange or a third Thor film, although with Hulk being in Thor 3 my anticipation for that is still pretty high. I don't think they will but hopefully they don't roll back the clock to tell the story. I won't go into details but Civil War set the character, and Wakanda, up really well.

I'm not sure if he's confirmed to return or not but I hope Andy Serkis/Ulysses Klaue is the villain. He was in Age of Ultron just long enough to show he could be an interesting character but didn't have enough time establish much other than he's a weapons smuggler/dealer. Serkis is an underrated actor. He gets a lot of praise for his motion capture work but I think his regular acting is top notch as well.

Either that or possibly Bucky?

Bucky's not a big enough draw box-office wise. If you look at all the coming movies (except Strange), you have team-ups... Spiderman reboot (with a side of Stark), Thor 3... with Hulk. I expect them to do the same for Cap. I think he's just as much a draw at this point as Iron Man and I'd be really surprised if they hold him out of theaters for another two years.

Bucky's in cryo so it wouldn't make sense to bring him back. Also, that would put him in 3 movies which is a lot for a somewhat minor character. I'm curious as to what villain they're going to use. A natural enemy would be White Wolf. The sibling rivalry alone would make this great. Erik Killmonger too. Perhaps both.

Depends. One rumor that has been around forever is that eventually Bucky becomes Captain America and Chris Evans version of Captain America dies just like in the comics. If that rumor is true, it makes sense to keep Bucky's character an essential part of the MCU.

That teaser was great.

If this is really good (and with Coogler directing and pretty much EVERY great black actor still alive cast in it, I have a feeling it will be), it could have a Wonder Woman like run, hitting the cultural zeitgeist as the first MAJOR black superhero.

I know there was already Blade, but he was such a fringe character and most people thought he was just a vampire killer... had no clue he was a superhero.

This trailer revealed too much. Especially the Michael B. Jordan suit.

I have to be honest all the Alien stuff kind of hit me from left field even though I think it looks good.

This movie is getting stellar reviews. Only 47 so far, but a solid 100% on Rotten Tomatoes so far. Rolling Stone even calls it a Masterpiece.

Man, I hope this movie lives up to the hype.

The best thing about seeing Wonder Woman was going in with ZERO expectations. DC was a mess, there had been rumors of a bumpy shoot and they didn’t even really go full mega force promoting it.

The only non-black cast (billed) in Black Panther are Andy Serkis and Martin Freeman.

I guess you could say they are the Tolkien Whites.

(Disclosure - I stole that from the twitters)

Just effin' amazing. On ALL levels. The ONLY nitpick I found was the nittiest of picks, and that just because the friend I saw it with was too dumbfounded at my NOT having any complaints.

Simple Marvelous.
