I want another big guy as much as anyone but it is a waste to sign someone that won't ever play anyway like Taylor or White.

"How about if the Suns just extend Diaw and Amare and the rest of the Suns stay healthy."
Best thought yet.
I thought Amare's contract was already extended.
Regardless, not too early to start counting the days to Halloween. I'm even taking my annual broom ride the night before ........
I loved the intimidation factor of having White. I remember one time he got the ball at the foul line and drove the basket, causing everyone to clear out. No one in his right mind was going to take a charge from Jahidi.
None the less, White's hands of stone, unbelievably bad foul shooting, and conditioning made him too much of liability to have on the floor.
White's conditioning problem is similar to Tractor Traylor's. Traylor at least has pretty good hands and could score. But while even if Traylor did not have health issues with his heart, he could not have keep up with the Sun's pace. Jahidi's worse.
I would have went after Jackie Butler and Elson like the Spurs but as it looks now we have a 4/5 rotation of Thomas, Stoudamire, and Diaw with a 3 combo of JJ1, JJ2, and Marion, and a 1/2 of Bell, Barbosa, Banks, and Nash so minutes are going to be scarce.
IMO, Victor Khryapa, would be an absolute perfect fit for the Suns frontline, now or somewhere in the future. I think he is a real sleeper to many fans. If he could be picked up in a trade at anywhere near a reasonable price ( I would want his contract extended if possible prior to the trade), he would be a great acquisition. I know many on this board already know of his ability.

Ely's rebounding is roughly the same as that of Khryapa, but at .20 per minute neither is really much on the boards.
I agree with this. He's a scappy player with decent size and he's a rebounder. Chicago has an abundance of forwards and might deal him.
