Back in Arizona!!!
... one of my favorites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8iDRL4S2-4
The 2008 NFC Title Game when all Arizona screaming with joy after they had won, we later see Boldin pouting in his, "Bentley" talking on the telephone with this bored, glib look on his face. That day was my most memorable, because we all knew Boldin would never retire a Cardinal. certainly, a sad memory, but it stands above all others.
The worst for me was him walking out with his agent while the rest of the team was celebrating. I never saw him the same after that day.
This is not a good memory of Boldin, but look who was behind him during this blow
time to move on. One day hopefully Boldin will come back to have his name put in the ring of honor, but for now, he's just a player on a team that's competing against us for the Lombardi trophy. I'm not going to get misty eyed or hope he still remembers the good times until his career is over and he's done playing for an opponent.
3 that leap to mind:
1) I think 2004 or 2005, it was in SDS and against the Panthers. Boldin lined up in the backfield, McCown fired to him in the flat, and Boldin was just sick from here on. He juked and ran over about 5-6 Panthers on his way to scoring the TD. One of the best runs-after-catch I've ever seen and 100% Boldin at his best.
2) 2008, 2nd or 3rd play of the game against Miami here at home. Sparano decides to cover Boldin with a linebacker with no safety help overtop. See-ya, 80 yard TD. Boldin was running down the field alone.
3) I think his rookie year against the Rams at home at SDS. He caught a pass at about the 45 yard line or so IIRC, was hit several times and left a semi-circle of Rams defenders on the grass on his way to the endzone for the TD.
My favorite memory of him was his very first game, went off on the Seahags, brought hope to an otherwise awful franchise, many thanks Q!
That's what I was thinking...It was the Lions in Ford Field.
That's what I was thinking...
10 catches, 217 yards, if I recall correctly.
Charles Rogers had a great game too, what drastically different careers they've had.
