Boy, that kid sure is overrated. He'll never win anything. Not a pocket passer, can only run the ball, it's his defense that wins games.

Yah, I've been saying for years ATL should trade him while they can still get some value of him.

Also, in two years, there's no way that people will be saying "Champ Bailey who? Are you talking about DeAngelo Hall?" when folk talk about who the best cornerback in the NFL is.

yeah well Philip Jones.... err Pacman Buchanon is still a good punt returner and a lousy CB. :D

I think I read last week he's now allowed double digit TD passes this year, although he is dangerous as hell on punt returns.

DeAngelo is legit.

Didn't Vick barely complete half of his passes? Yeah, 12/23 for 231 with 1 TD and one INT, and the TD was an underthrown ball that the WR made a great play on?

Vick has had some good games passing this year, but I wouldn't look at last night's as one of them.

And two rushing TDs. I know, they were really forgettable.

What's the point of this thread? Did you get stood up or something kerouac? It seems like you're just itching for an argument, nothing else.

BTW, I've always said Vick could QB any team of mine.

Wow, Vick lit up the putrid Saints at home! Let's start a thread so we can begin preparing his bust for the Hall of Fame!

PS - Atlanta will miss the playoffs.

Your original post mentioned that he can only run the ball, even if it was sarcasm. The fact that he can run is not lost on anyone I'd hope. The argument is he is not a good "passing qb" and I don't think anything he did last night would disprove this thought.

Not to mention Vick's whopping passer rating of 76.6! By comparison, Kurt Warner has a PR of 83.6.

Look at the differences in the O-lines, they have a decent to good run game and we have squat, and the numbers are even more startling. I do like to see Vick play, but he is an experiment. A failing experiment. Warner has put up numbers behind a makeshift o-line because he is a quarterback, not the "future" of the NFL. What no one takes into account is that no matter what kind of athlete Vick is, there are 11 guys on the other side who are no slouches. The NFl has caught up to him. He is sooo overhyped.

Let's see. Atlanta won on a terrible throw from Vick to Rondy White that was totally blown by 2 Saint DBs. That ball never should have been thrown. The refs blew the call on Aaron Brooks " intentional grounding". They gave him the TD on the pylon whiff, with some bogus rule about the left hand /right hand passing over the pylon on a 3rd down play. Schaub came in and saved the game with his 40 + yard pass play to ice it. Prior to this game Atlanta lost how many consecutive games. EA Sports just has to have Michael in the playoffs and the NFL is eating the big royalty money up.

P.S. Michael needs to talk to his D line about late hits on Brooks. That shot to the ribs looked like payback time.

He won't forget all the shots to the ribs.

Colin Cowherd said it well. Vick will probably end up one of those, 'well, he might have been great, if he wasn't always hurt' kind of guys. He HAS to learn how to keep from getting injured.

Vick is not my idea of a guy who can take you to the superbowl. Lots of athletic ability but cannot stay in the pocket. When you run out of the pocket your offense cannot run their routes and it becomes a game of backyard football. NFL coaches want a guy like Manning who stands tall in the pocket and develops timing with his players and receiver routes. Vick will win you some games with his feet but over the long haul the team will never reach the big game. Where any of you surprised by Warner running out of the pocket on several occasions to make some good plays and avoid a sack. He has been doing supprisingly well avoiding sacks with a quick delivery and even using his feet when needed. This is not your NYG Warner.

Young is a Vick type QB and I thought he would be a middle to late round pick but yesterday Kiper picked him as the #7 overall pick?

Young is not a Vick type QB. They only are in the sense that they can both run. Other then that their college careers are very different.

Young has much more production in the passing game then Vick every did by more then double. Young isnt the athelte that Vick is but is a much better passer, and 5-6 inches taller.

Yeah I am getting tired of that comparison as well. He reminds me nothing of Vick. He isnt as athletic, he isnt as fast, but he is much more a pocket passer and as you piinted out with his rating, he is much more accurate.
