It doesn't bother me when an idiot calls me a moron.

The POINT of my post is that Vick can't throw the ball either.

GET IT?

Go back a read the original post, and this time, try to comprehend what I'm saying.

Mike Vick is not a quarterback. He's a running back taking direct snaps, being protected by a rule designed to protect quarterbacks.

I still don't see what prevents Josh from doing the same thing?

or any other QB in the NFL if they're good enough to do it.

I happen to agree with you about the RB part, posted it weeks ago I think Vick CAN be a good QB in the right system, maybe great, but I think he'd be a HOF caliber RB if he moved to RB, probably too late to do it now though.

That is your opinion that he isn't a QB...there isn't any point in discussing it with you since you have already made up your mind.

Unfortunately your opinion seems to be disputed by his team. What do you care anyway? It isn't like we are playing them.

Shouldn't you be stalking the Falcons board with this or something?

In fact Lex...

It seems to me that this entire thread is some vain attempt to justify your rediculous opinion by hoping someone agrees with you.

Lex:

Who's with me??

(crickets chirping)

I said who's with me???

Que Ben Stein "Bueller...Bueller..."

It's like watching the football short bus.

Lex - the Cardinals treated him as basically a RB, put 8-9 men in the box, dared him to throw, and he couldn't.

What prevents other teams from doign that?

You know I went and looked at the description of this forum:

Arizona Cardinals: The place where fans, players and announcers go to discuss the Cardinals.

I for the life of me can't figure out where the "Or Lex can discuss his man hate on Mike Vick" is.

Oh that would be in the Bird Droppings forum: "or any other NFL team, this is the place!"

Maybe that is why people are talking about McCown...they got confused as to what forum they are in.

Are we talking about the same Mike Vick who is going to be benched in favor of Matt Schaub?

And if Vick is such a putrid passer and McCown is average, then how come he is superior to McCown in nearly every statistical category?

The big shooter moderator just LOVES to HATE me.

It sucks to be right all the time.

wow - and I only bring up Josh here to point to Lex who calls him an average QB(which is a huge stretch) but when you look at stats - even while throwing the ball less - Vick has more yards than Josh, has a better passer rating than Josh, and hell - EVEN throws for a better completion percentage than Josh. Does that mean that Josh is just a bad running back playing QB for us - because if I'm not mistaken - at the same level of their coming up in the league - Vick (as a young inexperienced QB) still had better numbers in EVERY Category than than Josh is on pace for. Oh - and Vick has also been the leader of a team that in his last couple season starting has gone 19-8-1.

So using Lex's theory - I am just going to start saying that Josh McCown is just a REALLY bad running back playing QB for us.

This is my whole thought behind the "Quick lets change the rules for Mike Vick"

If you think he sucks as a NFL QB...then he won't be one for long. You don't change rules for one player.

And Lex, I don't hate you...I just think are are very close to having a Tango-esque dream about Vick.

Maybe he left you at the prom too and that is why you are so angry?

Matt Hasselbeck must suck then, he has a lower completion % and QB rating, and he has virtually the same TD to INT ratio

his older brother Randy?

I actually thought little Bro Luke looked pretty good in the preseason, I think maybe Green was watching films of him when he said Josh was going to be really good.

A sampling of more effective rushing QBs in the NFL than Josh McCown, courtesy of FootballOutsiders.com:

Tom Brady
Peyton Manning
Billy Volek
Craig Krenzel
Vinny Testaverde
Chad Pennington
Marc Bulger
Trent Green

What an athlete. At least he's better than Brian Griese, huh?
