Preston isnt coming, Washington is a possibility, McCoy I think we are still firmly near the top, albeit not the "leader" anymore.

Lee is the exact kind of player who doesnt play early and transfers out of Arizona. Not to mention he's been plummeting down the rankings the last year. If he's willing to ride the bench for a few years, sure. I can just see him committing and then transferring not too far down the road.

You have to take Lee. Markk is 1&done and Ray Smith could also bolt so PF could be very thin. The Scout guys were confident McCoy was a strong AZ lean and now they're backing off a bit but not sure why.

I'm ok with senior PJC and freshman Barcello at PG. Everything in between PG and C is a need.

Unless there is someone who Miller can get in late on or an International guy but to me it seems that large pool of big name 2017 kids UA were in on might be drying up. Trent Jr, is a guy whom the Arizona Rivals guys believe will be the next guy to commit to Miller but that seems to be the only guy they are mentioning.

Looks like I forgot about Jarred Vanderbilt but he is more of a SF than PF, below is a link to an article from last week breaking down where UA stands on some of the remaining recruits on their radar.

Miller vs Alford round 2

Wilkes is UCLA's priority I think they are trying to convince them both they can play together but I don't think anybody thinks they will and UCLA's primary guy is Wilkes if they can get him. Bowen was seen as a Mich State lean but apparently Ayton committing to UA is making him more strongly consider Arizona.

I really like both players, I think Wilkes has more upside he's bigger I think a bit more skilled scorer, but they are both really good. Both need to get much stronger but for a skinny kid Bowen is tough.

The UA thing is fascinating there's 3-4 kids now that are strongly considering UA because of Ayton, you really wonder what happens if they commit and then Ayton doesn't go to college?

UCLA had an in home with Bowen on the 9th but I think they're considered to be at or near the bottom of his 6. Creighton is intriguing not sure the connection there. Also there are rumors that Texas is making a big late close in recruiting and is suddenly a real factor for Bowen so it seems like he's much more open than people originally thought. I've got a connection that says UCLA is very much in it for Wilkes but he seems more optimistic than most others who seem to think IU or Xavier lead. But right now the odds are saying UCLA doesn't get either.

Wilkes looks like a better prospect. Interesting that they're rated so closely. Miller knows there could be a mass exodus of wings next year so they're getting in on everyone like Bowen and Diallo. Unfortunately Trent isn't visiting anymore. Probably 99.9% Duke lock ppl think.

Miller is on the EC doing in-homes and just visited Nick Richards and now he's scheduled to visit Arizona next weekend.

If he's a true center that would be a great frontcourt with Ayton (or McCoy). I'm sure teams are using Ayton's qualifying concerns against AZ (as they should).

Wilkes is really good he's one of those rare guys in this day and age who has a midrange game he can score 30 on nothing but 12-18 foot shots. 247 Still has UCLA as the favorite but it's old votes mostly, Scout is saying IU or Xavier.

UCLA of course already has a 3 in Gelo Ball but he sees himself as a guard and obviously was largely taken to stop UW from trying to poach Lonzo(they were offering to take all 3 brothers so UCLA did it.).

UA has a chance to have an absolute monster class, even if Ayton didn't qualify it could be great but if he does qualify Miller has a chance to get a near Calipari at UK type class.

the claim is that McCoy is leaning towards Cal and SC now but who knows

Who are the kids now considering UA because of Ayton?

Bowen is one but so apparently is Trent Jr although still seen as a Duke lean. What's interesting is that Trent is thought to be a package deal with Wendell Carter who does NOT have UA on his list as far as I'm aware of but the talk on Scout was that Trent was very intrigued by Ayton. Another kid I can't remember has mentioned it too.

Trent isn't visiting Tucson anymore. Carter is pretty much 100% to Duke. Honestly based on the vids he looks as good as Ayton. Coach K has taken over as the best recruiter. He may not get all the 5*ers that Cal gets but they seem to fit better together and key guys always stay 2-3 years.

With Trent likely not AZ-bound and Diallo eligible for the 17' draft (Link) Bowen or Brown is a must. They're also in on Brandon Randolph.

Trent has been a Duke lock forever and I'm not even sure why anyone even brought his name back up again.

Other than that, UofA is a finalist for several big time recruits. I'd bet money on Ira Lee being the next to commit. Diallo loves Arizona and if he doesnt want to get drafted, he might go to Tucson. Brandon Rudolph, Lonnie Walker, Daejon Davis, Brian Bowen, and others are legit contenders.

I initially thought that Miller's 2017 class was going to be a disappointment by comparison to previous years, but the potential for talent is just as good, if not greater than, 2016.

I agree Trent is going to Duke but he has been talking recently as if he's less a lock than people think but that might just be for show. Sometimes recruits who are locked up that early get jealous of all the attention other kids are getting and they want to be recruited even though their minds are made up.

Randolph and Walker are the 2 Pennsylvania kids i mentioned before that miller is on now correct?

Walker is, Randolph is NYC. Haven't heard much about Walker even though he's a 5* but Wake Forest is the perceived leader for Randolph who isn't 5* caliber. He's below Jaylen Hands on the 247 composite rankings.

Question: Was UA ever in on Sam Cunliffe last year or was he not good enough? He looks like the real deal from what I've heard.

Arizona is picking up steam with McCoy apparently. Randolph and Lonnie Walker are also visiting next weekend.

Red & Blue game may be an all-timer.

McCoy was (is?) on a not-so-silent visit to UofA over the weekend. He keeps his recruitment close to the vest, but there was some speculation that he wasn't a fan of Ayton committing to UofA. Evidently, that was not the case.

Not sure what the tea leaves say on this one, but glad Miller is putting in the time.

If I was either Richards or McCoy, I wouldn't let the Ayton commitment deter me from picking UA. There is a possibility Ayton may not make it to UA but even if he does, then they can either play the PF spot or C depending on where Miller wants to play them.

Richards is all but a lock for Kentucky.

As for McCoy, he and Ayton can co-exist, with McCoy playing the 5 and Ayton the 4.

Is McCoy going? If he just did an official visit to UA this past weekend he'd have to pay his own way to the game unless this past weekend was unofficial and that's his OV.

FYI we're both right on Randolph, he's from NY, but he plays for a school in Pennsylvania.

I don't think he's going to the R&B game but there's like ten other guys going including the committed guys Ayton/Barcello and I think Walker... A lot of ppl seem to think 2018 PG Brandon Williams is a lock who will be there too.
