Fans don't really understand what we ask of Peterson. We pretty much put him on a island with no help blitz more than any other team in the NFL on passing downs. I don't think people understand how bad it can actually be.

We ask a lot of him. He still needs to be better bottom line.

I would be very skeptical about McClain, he has had run-ins with the law (to include a recent house fire that was ruled as arson), a strange retirement at age 23 and just got popped for a substance abuse violation which result in a fine but shades of D-Wash if you ask me.

Thanks OSCF----I was not aware of all the baggage. I was merely going by a single report on Walter Football where they said he may have turned his life around. This does sound like D-Wash and we certainly don't need one of these guys feeding off the other.

I'm kind of surprised they haven't kicked the tires on Trent Cole. Maybe they are waiting like they did with Dansby, Abraham, and Cro.

I read that the Cardinals have interest in Trent Cole. However, he has multiple visits scheduled.

Of the 4 players MJ said the Cardinals are interested in:

C Stefen Wisniewski---he would be a very nice fit, seeing as he and Carson Palmer have a good chemistry.

C A.Q. Shipley---is he any better than Ted Larsen?

ILB Sean Weatherspoon---has played in only 20 of the the Falcons' last 46 games because of a laundry list of leg, knee, Achilles and foot injuries (Lis franc). Falcons are trying to sign him before FA starts.

ILB Nate Irving---has knee issues and only has 102 tackles in 4 years (had trouble making the starting lineup)---when healthy he has speed and range---much better in zone coverage than man, however.

The Cardinals possibly would; they’re interested in Spiller in the event they don’t land Peterson in trade with the Vikings. Washington has interest, but they also have Alfred Morris, who has three straight 1,000-yard seasons to start his career. The Saints are a potential suitor, but they were one of the first franchises to embrace the revolving door approach to tailbacks.

the problem with adding Houston is that aren't going to be able to add much else, and this is a team that has been successful due to depth.

I can get the reasoning behind the move, but I don't think our offense is going to magically get better without investing in it.
