I went Childress.

The sixers have Snow and Iverson shored up in the back court, so I dont see them taking Harris or Gordon (how is he falling this far btw??)

Big Dog has been a disaster at the 3, and it is their largest hole. Dalempert is an up and coming 5, and Kenny thomas is their 4 (right?).

I see them taking Childress over Smith at this point.

I guess I'm alone with Harris. I think they could use a third guard who can do a lot on offense. Right now, it's pretty thin behind Iverson and Snow, and we aren't talking about guys in the draft who are going to come in and start right away anyway. Childress's shooting is suspect, and Smith's work ethic has been questioned, so it didn't seem to me that either of those players would fit in well with an Iverson-dominated team.

Childress.

This is a "need" pick. They need a small forward who can play defense, hand the ball well, and can pass the ball. Childress has a very good middle game as a shooter and is considered an excellant athlete.

Unlike Harris, Childress could actually end up starting this season if Big Dog continues to "dog it".

One other, if weird reason, if they take Childress they don't have to explain why they didn't take Nelson. If the Sixers pass over their home town hero for another PG, they risk getting a lot of abuse. By contrast, they would have no trouble explaining why they need to replace Robinson.

Childress

I disagree. They have Salmons, Green and Korver, all three are at least OK backups. Plus McKie is there too.

I went with Josh Smith, but Childress is also a solid pick here. The Sixers have never had a good small forward (Glenn Robinson excepted I guess), and they will have a great selection at this pick.
