He's still got Hasheem Thabeet in there. Federico is a bit slow on the uptake...
Well, if the Suns are posturing and smoke screening about taking Rush, then it's definitely taking effect with the Media. I just want to have a good if not great take from the draft. There are a lot of good players in this draft. IMO, outside of the Top 3 (Rose, Beasley and Mayo), the 4-27 players are all within striking distance of each other as far as potential and team impact as they come. IMO, I feel that the Top 27-28 projected picks all have the potential of being an All-Star at least once in their careers.
Unpredictability rules draft

The Arizona Republic
The hard thing about anticipating what the Suns can get in Thursday's draft is the unpredictability of the 14 picks ahead of them. For an inkling, The Republic asked reporters to make picks for teams they cover.
1. Chicago, Derrick Rose, Memphis, PG. "The speedy point guard is the perfect fit to quarterback coach Vinny Del Negro's preferred up-tempo offensive attack," the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson said.
2. Miami, Michael Beasley, Kansas State, PF. "Whether the Heat keeps the second-best prospect in the draft is another question. Because the Heat owes next year's first-round pick to Minnesota, it first must exercise a selection before dealing," the Sun-Sentinel's Ira Winderman said.

3. Minnesota, O.J. Mayo, Southern California, SG. "He is the third most talented player - maybe even as much as the first two - and he fills three of the Wolves' big needs," the Minneapolis Star-Tribune's Jerry Zgoda said.
4. Seattle, Jerryd Bayless, Arizona, G. "The Sonics are not in love with him, which is why they're shopping the pick for veteran help," the Seattle Times' Percy Allen said.
5. Memphis, Kevin Love, UCLA, PF. "They like his offensive skills and basketball IQ. He had a great workout, displaying midrange shooting touch and passing ability against taller, more athletic post players," the Commercial Appeal's Ron Tillery said.
6. New York, Danilo Gallinari, Italy, SF. "Very smart, very strong player who has tremendous upside and the Italian pedigree which Mike D'Antoni can relate to," Newsday's Alan Hahn said.
7. Los Angeles Clippers, Eric Gordon, Indiana, SG. "What the Clippers really need is a point guard but a scoring perimeter player is too much to pass up here," the Los Angeles Times' Jonathan Abrams said.
8. Milwaukee, Russell Westbrook, UCLA, PG. "They have said over and over that, after winning 26 games, they will take the best player available, regardless of position because they need so much help," the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Enlund said.
9. Charlotte, Brook Lopez, Stanford, C. "In this scenario, I think they take Lopez, on the simple logic they need more bigs and Lopez has huge value at No. 9," the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell said.
10. New Jersey, Joe Alexander, West Virginia, SF. "He's raw but upwardly mobile, as reflected by that 12-foot reach. Since Jersey always is a BPA (best player available) type of crew, he's the logical, athletic alternative," the Star-Ledger's Dave D'Allesandro said.
11. Indiana, D.J. Augustin, Texas, PG. "They need a point guard after basically playing the position by committee last season. Augustin is the best still available," the Indianapolis Star's Mike Wells said.
12. Sacramento, Anthony Randolph, Louisiana State, SF. "Since players they want didn't drop, they'll go for the best frontcourt player," the Sacramento Bee's Ailene Voisin said.
13. Portland, Brandon Rush, Kansas, SG. The Oregonian's Jason Quick said the pick will be traded but he played along, adding, "The player they liked best in workouts was Augustin, but once he goes off the board, they grab the best shooting small forward they can get."
14. Golden State, Donte Greene, Syracuse, SF. "The Warriors can never have enough big wing players. He is a proven shooter. He won't help their rebounding or defensive needs, but he's a safe pick with upside," the San Francisco Chronicle's Janny Hu said.
So who's left?
If the coinciding list held true, here are some Suns' options at No. 15:
• Alexis Ajinca, France, 7-0, 220, C: At 20, he barely has played pro ball but has a shot and wingspan.
• Darrell Arthur, Kansas, 6-9, 225, PF: Cousin of Quinton Ross worked out Monday for Phoenix.
• Nicolas Batum, France, 6-8, 190, SG: Highly skilled but, at 19, would need more overseas seasoning.
• Mario Chalmers, Kansas, 6-1, 190, PG: He's the only point guard option but is unproven as a point.
• Roy Hibbert, Georgetown, 7-2, 275, C: If the Suns have worked him out, it was on the down-low.
• J.J. Hickson, North Carolina State, 6-9, 242, PF: Not touted this highly, he is a well-built sleeper.
• DeAndre Jordan, Texas A&M, 7
-0, 260, C: Promising, athletic backup has a multiteam workout in Phoenix today to improve his draft position.
• Kosta Koufos, Ohio State, 7-0, 265, C: He's big, can shoot and run and play power forward or center.
• Robin Lopez, Stanford, 7-0, 255, C: Not as offensively gifted as his twin but rebounds and defends well.
• JaVale McGee, Nevada, 7-0, 237, C: Pam McGee's kid is long, runs the floor and has big upside.
• Marreese Speights, Florida, 6-10, 245, PF: Also a long big man, he has offensive skills and a motor.
• Jason Thompson, Rider, 6-11, 250, PF: Phoenix saw the well-rounded big man work out twice.
#2-We will need to sign a SF so Hill can come off the bench through free agency. Hill is playing amazing for his age, but he needs to come off the bench. Players like Jamal Richardson or Margette. Or we can make Alando Tucker be our starting SF. Believe me, he is a hard worker and was a Pac 10 player. He has great athleticism and plays like Shawn Marion. People say he can't shoot and shoot the three, but Shawn Marion wasn't really a great shooter(good, but not great). However, he did improve his shooting and can shoot the 3(40% I heard) and he blew up in the D-League. He also is working on his game this summer, and if he proves himself, we have ourself a starting small forward. I'm not really sold on Alexander though.
i'm sorry, do you have ANY idea what you're talking about? who is "jamal richardson?" who is "margette?" tucker played for wisconsin - that's the BIG 10, not the PAC 10. tucker has light years to go before he's even as consistent as the inconsistent shawn marion as a shooter at this point. and you want to start a kid on a "contender" (and i use that term loosely as i believe the window to be firmly shut) who couldn't garner ANY mins last season???
Jamal Richardson is a mistake I made as I meant Jeffery Richard who plays small forward for the New Jersey Nets. T
*Richard Jefferson*
Mistake again. His name is extremely easy to forget.
Pick No. 13: Portland Trail Blazers
Bill Simmons selects: Brandon Rush, Kansas
I was going to pick Dr. James Andrews here but didn't want to be getting hate mail from Blazers fans all summer. Assuming they don't deal this pick -- and that seems eminently possible -- Rush makes the most sense because he'd give them enough depth at the swing spots to dangle Travis Outlaw along with one of their point guards, the rights to Rudy Fernandez and/or gobs of Paul Allen's cash for a legitimate point guard or an elite combo guard like Leandro Barbosa. I am totally, completely, unequivocally sold on Rush -- he plays D, runs the floor, makes 3s and proved himself in big spots. As James Posey just showed with the Celtics, you can win the title with a guy like that. My only hope is that his brothers don't move in with him. If that happens, all bets are off.
By the way, tell me who doesn't make this trade: Outlaw, Channing Frye, the rights to Fernandez, the No. 13 and $3 million for Conley, Brian Cardinal and No. 5. Just curious.
Ford: I think Rush is the guy too. The Blazers have three alpha dogs in LaMarcus Aldridge, Brandon Roy and Greg Oden. What they need is a fit guy.
Rush drove me crazy at KU because I never thought he played up to his potential. But as he moves into the NBA, his willingness to submit to other teammates will help him. He doesn't have All-Star talent and seems like he'd be content playing a role on a good team. He shoots, he defends, he runs the floor. Good pick.
By the way, is Kevin Pritchard the most fun GM in the league? The guy is working on roughly 150 trade proposals as we speak. He has no qualms about calling up a team and saying, "How about Travis Outlaw and Sergio Rodriguez for Dwyane Wade." He won't blink an eye.
And you know what? I know it irritates some of the old school GMs, but Pritchard gets it done. Most trade talks fail. He decided to tackle that problem by tripling the trade call volume. I love it.

I've been told that GMs are reconsidering their previous opinions of Greene and are realizing that he has an excellent chance of being the player many teams are afraid of passing on.
A situation like Phoenix where he can be a second option would be ideal for Greene. He is a much more versatile scorer than people give him credit for and would thrive playing alongside the personnel they have there.

You have failed.
Don't give up,at least you're not a Laker's fan bragging about their "no-show" Finals team on a SUNS board.
