Modest Mouse

If I remember correctly there are a few fans of Modest Mouse that post in this forum (and one definitely would include me).....

They are one of those bands that have "fallen underneath the radar" for several years, but due to a couple of "hits" finally deserve the recognition that they deserve....

I often parallel them to Flaming Lips in many regards from how their singer, Isaac Brock reminds me a lot of Wayne Coyne (their voices and even quirky lyrics), their guitar stylings, to also how both respective bands had only a "cult following", but achieving elusive popularity took an eternity.....

I consider Modest Mouse "Good News for People Who Love Bad News" to be among the best albums to be released over the past year (especially "Ocean Breathes Salty")...

They're good. I have never heard of them until their latest CD came out.

I've begun to listen to Modest Mouse again recently and I really enjoy this Conan O'Brien performance of their hit song "Ocean Breathes Salty" captured on youtube.com:

Such a very beautiful and unique sound they generate... really an excellent reprieve from most of what is out there today....
