I am thinking that Momah might be used in our red zone offense. Having a big tall fast target with good hands like him inside the 20 could be ideal.

Funny but I can't recall BA throwing more than one fade to Larry Fitzgerald all season long last year. Strange, isn't it?

I don't, but IIRC, Palmer was much more likely to dump the ball off last year than he had in his career. It's just that those dump-off targets were not good:

Pretty sure arm strength was a factor. Not sure numbers before and after nerve issue.

IMO this stat is due to offensive design.... keep the ball moving, fire deep when the opportunity presents itself,...and if you are gonna miss deep, miss deep.....
part of the joy to having very fast WR's is that a QB can really put some heat on his deep passes and let the WR catch up to it,...and if he doesn't,...then it falls incomplete..... that is how Stanton showed some degree of success with our offense.
I do not believe the completion rate of a 15-20 yd pass is significantly higher than a 30 yd pass in todays NFL..... BA's offense is designed to shoot for the house at least 6-8 times a game...the rest of the time you run ball control...until the defense tightens up, gets complacent,.. and Smokey gets behind them...

one nice thing with Momah...he has proven he will work hard to advance the ball....I have not seen an AZ TE drag defenders like that in at least a millennium

Ifeanyi Momah suffers torn meniscus, Cards meeting with Joseph Fauria

According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, Momah suffered a torn meniscus in practice and will undergo surgery on Thursday.
Momah had managed to parlay the combine invite into a starting role with the Cardinals out of training camp. He caught three passes for 61 yards in Arizona’s third preseason game against the Oakland Raiders.
Now the Cardinals are searching for a fallback plan. Per Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910, former Detroit Lions tight end Joseph Fauria was at Cardinals headquarters on Wednesday.

I wonder if Troy out, and Gresham only just now practicing per Darren.

If Momah starts what do you see his stats being? He could have some chances to make an impact week 1 against a hampered NO Defense.

I feel heartbroken for Ifeanyi Momah. Here he finally makes an NFL team and he gets hurt in practice before game one. At BC his senior year, he has a big first game and is looking like he is going to have a great season and then is knocked out for the year with a knee injury. The guy has worked so hard---let's hope he battles back as he always has and makes his NFL dreams a reality next year.

Man I will never forget his two catches and pile dragging, helmet adjusting runs versus the Raiders. Those were a thing of beauty.

He was one of the players I was most looking forward at watching this year. This sucks.

Man that sucks! Really feel bad for the kid. He had such a great preseason and finally made a NFL roster only to have this happen before the season started.

With that said I remember Joseph Fauria and his dance skills:

Momah to IR. (Not Designated to Return)

His season is over.
Where did you see this reported? Torn Meniscus is the same thing Iupati had & the recovery time was 3-8 weeks... it makes no sense to put him on Season Ending IR unless the injury is a lot worse than they 1st reported.

EDIT: I think he missed the deadline for the “Designated to Return IR”… only 1 player can be put on that per season & he has to be on it by the 1st Tuesday after final cuts.

That dance rivals Stewart Bradley's:

EDIT: After watching both at the same time I have been able to confirm that Bradley's is about ten times worse...
