Although PF is very high on my list, I can see your point. I think with a lot of these movies, the masses of asses back them so hard and never shut up about them, that it detracts from the actual film itself. And although I have always liked QT, nothing about him is truely original, moreso just a fantastic display of "here is what I know about movies from watching years and years of random s--t!".

mmmhhmmmm....you guys and Anchorman.....mmmhmmm

Just because you say a movie is over rated doesn't mean you think it sucks.

I think Star Wars is horribly over rated.....but it by no means sucks.

I agree with Pulp Fiction only because so many people call it the best movie of the 90's...it wasn't even better than Resevoir Dogs.

Not quite sure where you were going with this... I never said that the movie sucked.

Whether or not you like the movie, definitely plays a role on whether a movie is overrated or not. Part of your opinion of the movie is based on your personal feelings towards the movie.

This movie has reached God-like status, along with the Godfather and LOTR movies (with only Godfather deserving) For that, it is overrated, yet it is not the most overrated as the title of the thread suggests.

You said, "thought it was good enough."

Sorry, my confusion.

Pulp Fiction is in my All Time Top 25.....but I'd still say that it is an over rated movie. Your point about the God like status is true.....

I don't know if I'm even the right audience for the following film....but enough people have told me that it is funnier than Weird Science or Ferris Bueller, that I'm gonna include it.........

Breakfast Club.

I wouldn't say that it was particularly funny, but it is a cult classic.

Overrated it is not IMO.

I watched the whole stupid thing hoping that it would get better. It never did. That's two hours of my life that I wasted.

That's how I always am. "I'm gonna give this half an hour....it's gotta be good...it's Stone and Football."

It just continually sucks. Not to mention all the dongs flopping around the locker room.....I don't need that.

It's funny that the lockerroom scene has become synonymous with that movie.

Raising Arizona was good, about the only Cage movie I can watch.

I wouldn't consider Fast Times at Ridgemont High to be a Cage movie, since he played a minor, minor role.

How can you look at this and not laugh?

I'm starting to think that NEZ is dead inside.

Anchorman is getting WAAAAY too much space devoted to it on this board. Kinda like Andre Wadsworth.
