1) Use bittorrent, emule, soulseek, or similar program
2) Find a friend who has lots of mp3 files and copy them (we should have an ASFN LAN party)
3) Find a friend who has lots of cds and rip them
4) Subscribe to a service like Napster (some universities like mine provide this for free)
a) Download protected wma files
b) Use cracked version of Tunebite to make an unprotected mp3 file

Basically what Tunebite and similar programs do is play the protected file and record it while it is playing. I know this sounds like it would be low quality, but (hypothetically) 95% of the time one can't hear any difference between the wma and mp3 files. The newest version of tunebite allows you to record at 4x, but to my knowledge it is not cracked.

Bittorrent works as follows:
1) You download a small .torrent file and open it with a bittorrent client program.
2) The client contacts a tracker which tells you what computers are downloading the same file as you.
3) Other users send you parts of the file (this is the heart of why downloading with bittorrent works very well).

So once the file is done can it be moved from the download file folder?

There is no download folder. You just close the torrent whenever you want and it will stop sharing.
