Three of the players that were brought in on visits last year were drafted by the Cardinals:

Paris Johnson Jr
Garrett Williams
Kei’Trel Clark
McMahon from NC State is my late round bet that the Cardinals draft. He had a ridiculously low short shuttle time and his RAS was pretty good.

Very true.

Just pointing to the fact that we could have 2 guys that are game changers and we might not get them. Neither PJ or BT have this tag coming out of college.

Both dudes can be good but man I would rather take a possible sure thing.
When has will Anderson ever been said to be a game changer? I think his gunna be a good player we didnt pass on the next micah parsons

Literally the defensive rookie of the year.

"Anderson's 7.0 sacks this season set a new franchise record for most sacks by a rookie in a single-season and his 67 pressures led all rookies in the NFL this year. Anderson's standout rookie season culminated with a Pro Bowl honor, becoming just the second defensive rookie in team history to be named to the Pro Bowl."

Sounds like a game changer to me, especially at a position of desperate need!

In his only year in the NFL, he outperformed every other rookie. Does that mean he's going to the HOF? Of course not, but it's about as good a start as one could hope for. He's a guy we could desperately use, no?

Most definitely could of used him. Were not gunna act like 2023 was loaded with high defensive prospects. When we use words like game changer makes it seem like we passed on von miller. Latu, Verse, Turner could be just as good as him.

Obviously this is a contradiction in terms.

I believe the ceiling for MHJ is higher than Brian Thomas's, but not by much. I think Brian Thomas's 99th percentile outcome is A.J. Green; MHJ's is probably similar -- but that is more like his 80th percentile outcome.

I also think that MHJ's floor is way higher. It's difficult to imagine Harrison Jr being worse than, like, Courtland Sutton on his rookie deal, barring injury. Is it that difficult to imagine Brian Thomas being Will Fuller?
The point is we took Johnson last year when the consensus was take Will Anderson.

This year the consensus is MHJ and we might take Thomas.

I remember a certain GM also being much smarter than everyone else who turned out to be a turd.

I am rooting for MO but missing on Anderson for future picks is a first strike.

Imagine the excitement had Anderson been on our team and set the rookie sack record.

I am sure we would have tons of people on this board comparing him to Chase Young and how he is a flash in the pan.

I wanted us to take Will Anderson also, but we didn't take Paris Johnson Jr instead of him. Maybe it will turn out that PJJ is slightly better and much healthier DJ Humphries, the Houston first pick turns out to be an average CB/DT/Edge, and the Houston 3rd turns into an average rotational/situational WR. That's a pretty good outcome.

We'll see if Will Anderson turns out to be the next Myles Garrett. He turned out to be the best defensive rookie of a pretty mid draft class. Kyler Murray turned out to be the best offensive rookie of a pretty dire draft class on that side of the ball.

Time will tell.

Concensus minus... Monti.

It's been widely reported that PARIS was, in fact, Monti's first choice.

It's hard to imagine, given that it's far from the truth, and he wasn't even the sack leader on his own team.
