This may be hard to imagine, but you haven't seen his best yet. I knew real coaching would help, but this off-season after some body sculpting he will show even more power. The facilities at Northern Iowa aren't bad, but it's not the SEC. Add in the fact that the UNI training staff isn't close to the NFL standard and I expect he will become even better as an inside runner. It's very hard to build up during the season. Then combine getting used to the offense and he will be a force for years to come. Also if he avoids major injuries, his style plays for longer than the typical back. His great hands and superior agility will enable him to succeed even as he loses some speed. He is a superior weapon that coupled with a good passing game will enable a successful Cardinal offense to remain a force for years to come. I suspect BA won't be leaving any time soon.

Sure hope you are correct. He is getting better as he plays more.

A full off season with the proper training and nutrition will be big toward his development

Harry, I trust that you are right about this. Your analysis makes great sense. I feel that the greatest question will come to be our quarterback position. I doubt that right now, even Carson Palmer himself could tell you what his future with the team will be. Should we somehow win the Super Bowl this year, (and given his age and injury history), he may just decide to retire on top. Even if we don't win and he stays, there is no guarantee that he could have yet another mostly injury free year. Even the best of offensive lines gives up the occasional sack. It only takes one freak sack to end a QB career.

That is why I truly appreciate what BA & SK have accomplished here. Their first two years were wonderful, and this one has been the stuff that dreams are made of.

Catfish, Carson Palmer is having so much fun in this offense and in this organization that I believe there is a chance he will stay as long as the team wants him to. It wouldn't be a surprise if he thinks he is just getting started in AZ. He is such a fitness guru---and with the success that Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees and Tony Romo have been having in their mid to late 30s, Carson Palmer is apt to feel confident that he can do the same.
