Highly doubt his trade value has dropped. He's still a better player than 96% of the PG's in the league. A team that wants a championship push or a playoff team for the next few years would gladly trade for him .

Who? And what would they, could they give? Strangely enough, I would be interested in Chicago. They have more players to deal.

NY traded away most of their assets getting Carmelo. Can't see Boston. Miami might be desperate enough, but what do they have that would be worth it. Maybe Orlando, but they do not have enought to give up to make it worth it. To me the Clippers would be interesting. Put Nash on that team and it would be in the mix very quickly.

I do not have high hopes for our making the playoffs without Frye. Lottery, here we come.

Being injured and being 38 will kill his trade value.

Steve's team leading 33.5 minutes per game has affected his stamina and consistency.

If he played 24 minutes per game to try to keep his health and skill level steady over the course of a season and through the playoffs, that's a great offensive Point Guard only half of the time.

That would be difficult to sell, unless he could rotate with another declining superstar PG such as Jason Kidd.

Dallas actually has four Point Guards on their roster and only one true shooting guard, Matt Carrol.

But I don't think you'd find another team going to that extreme and therefore wanting half, or less, of Steve Nash.

I don't know about that. Most playoff/championship teams want a player who can finish games for them or make good plays in crunch time. Nash does not do that. He actually does the opposite.

If a team is a playmaker away from making the playoffs, or turning into a contender, then they could have interest in Nash. That's why I think the Clippers could be a good fit for him cause he can play with Blake Griffin and that pick n roll would be unstoppable. Also Eric Gordon can help him too.

Ive never liked Bosh much though. He is shorter than his listed height because he has such an amazingly long neck. He looks like a giraffe.

I like Bosh because he is a guy we can build around. Kinda like what Portland is doing with Aldridge.

Bosh isn't the problem in Miami. Doing that deal does nothing for Miami. Miami's problems are from the lack of chemistry/cohesion of LBJ and Wade. Deal one of them out and add Nash to Bosh and, presumably, Wade, then you have a great balanced team.

1st round pick? If we did that deal, we wouldn't get that 1st round pick till 2013. They traded their 2011 1st round pick to the Cavs with Baron Davis.

As long as the deal is after the draft, we could get a '12 first rounder.

Dwade dominates the ball. Lebron dominates the ball. One of their biggest problems is that their 2 stars lack cohesion because of the fact that they both dominate the ball.

Adding Nash doesn't solve that problem - in fact it makes it worse as they would have 3 players that want to dominate the ball.

As goes Steve Nash, so go the Suns!

It seems beyond any doubt, following the blowout loss to the Nuggets at home, that Steve Nash, having accumulated the most minutes per game on the Suns, is on a downhill spiral.

His turnovers are out of control. His shooting, or even his hesitancy to shoot, are hurting the team. His playmaking has slipped to where it affects the rest of the team, no matter who is on the court with him.

I'm not talking about his great attitude. Or his skills when he is healthy. I'm talking about his poor health and lack of stamina as the season wears on.

Even if we were to make a drastic change in our Point Guard alignment, I am afraid it is too late in the season to start again.

We made it through a major change at the beginning of the season (which was very negative), then another major change during the season (which was very positive).

But at Point Guard as the season winds down -- it is too late.

What are your opinions?

On December 30th, Steve Nash got a "T" for berating the refs for a bad call and evidently tried to get another. When he returned to the bench, two independent sources sitting close enough heard him tell Alvin Gentry:

But alas, he couldn't get himself thrown out of the game. Captain Canada is just too likable.

That was the game after which newcomer Marcin Gortat ripped a new one for the Suns by commenting in the clubhouse about their lack of defensive concentration. 'Not too "likable" a first impression. But necessary.

Happily the Polish Hammer brought strong leadership to a team that had been sorely missing it.

I've felt that way about the refs for a long time. I think if I was actually playing I might actually be thrown out of the league for assaulting a ref as well.

Disagree. They cannot coexist without changing their games. You cannot have two guys who dominate the ball. They have to change their games regardless. Their best solution is to get a pg who can distribute well and keep them both involved and scoring. Nash is the only guy who can do that.
