I am not impressed with the wrist band. I managed low income houosing and my seniors had key fobs that did the same thing. The ring is what I am more intigued by, I wish they would explain more of how that works, does it use cellular and GPS? How is it monitoring more than a pulse? It has a lot of technology in juts a small device it seems!

It's called an Oura Ring. It's been out for a few years; I have one. It measures your heart rate variability, resting heart rate, skin temperature, respiratory rate, active movement, etc. and syncs to an app on your phone.

I use it to track my sleep and my recovery.

For sleep, I experiment to see what affects my sleep cycles. For example, eating too close to bed destroys my deep sleep number, while wearing blue light blocking glasses in the evening increases my sleep score.

The primary reason I wear the ring is to monitor my recovery from workouts. Based on heart rate variability and some other factors it tells me when I'm recovered, so I can trade hard and my body is able to absorb the training. If my readiness score is low it'll suggest I back off and do an easy day of training or take the day off completely. I haven't been sick since I've had the ring, but I suspect your readiness score is what would indicate something is seriously wrong and your body is fighting something.

Also found this:

Williams, who was permitted to leave the NBA’s isolated campus setup at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports complex to attend a family member’s funeral, was photographed at a gentleman’s club in Atlanta on Thursday night by rapper Jack Harlow, who subsequently deleted the shot from his Instagram story.

On Friday, Harlow insisted the photo was taken before this week, tweeting: “That was an old pic of me and Lou. I was just reminiscing cuz I miss him.”

Williams, 33, is wearing an NBA-issued mask in the photo, the sort that is believed to have only been available inside the Disney bubble and would debunk any argument that the photo had been taken previously.

That is seriously cool! The amount of circuitry and sensors they have to stuff in there is impressive!

This is just incredibly stupid by Williams. Rules are rules. If he somehow brought the virus into the bubble, it would be game over.

Luckily they found out about Williams violating rules. One of my concerns is there are players that violate rules they don't catch. Like you said, if one or two players do it and turn up positive it could be game over.

Before 5 PM on day before seeding games, NBA teams must designate a participation status for players in a league portal, according to a league memo; Five hours prior to tip in instances of back-to-back games.

I guess we will know more about the status of players that are out.

Sources: The NBA has informed teams of a new box score listing for player who is out due to coronavirus: NWT (Not With Team)-Self Isolating.

As I understand it, he didn't merely grab a bite, he grabbed some booty, at a strip club.

It's definitely not on my itinerary of places to eat. I'd be a bit distracted. :wink2:

Adam Silver 'Cautiously Optimistic' NBA's Restart Is 'On the Right Track'
"From my standpoint, it's going very well, and I'm cautiously optimistic that we're on the right track," Silver told Marc Stein of the New York Times. "But I also recognize what we're doing has not been done before, and the competition is just beginning. The real test will come when players are commingling, playing basketball without masks and without physical distancing."
