In the second round I like

Kobe Brown--kinda looks like a young Jae Crowder
Adama Sonogo--like Kobe Brown but bigger, more physical, and not as skilled. Can shoot the three.
Hunter Tyson--3 point sniper.

Kobe Brown would be my guy. I would spend money to move up in the second to get him.

Draft picks used to be more of a known commodity. Still a crap shoot, but better ideas.

With so many players doing One and Done, G-League, and Overseas, teams don't have the data and feel for players like they used to - making picks less valuable since you have so many busts.
Good point... I think that is a large part of what killed the value of the draft from the mid-90s up until now. Now with the premium on keeping roster costs down, we are going to see a resurgence in the value of taking chances on draft picks, as risky as they might be.

I'm a homer but I'll say it now, whoever gets Jaime Jaquez Jr is going to be getting a steal. Has to improve his 3 point shot, there's injury concern with his ankles but he plays the game the right way, surprised at the combine with workouts, his vert was terrific. Just a great kid.

I actually want the Warriors to take him but my understanding is he's not on their radar.

Ironically now Heavy.com is reporting the Warriors will pick him at 19 if they don't trade.

At #2 the Hornets select Brandon Miller.

I thought Scoot Henderson might go here.

My bold predictions:

Wemby will tease but will struggle to stay healthy and will get bullied a lot when he is healthy. Scoot will take a while to come along and Miller will bust.

The rest all seem like a crap shoot.

Whoever the best players are in this draft, I think they will be surprises.

This has to be the off-season Dame is finally traded, right? They now have their backcourt of the future. And Dame’s value will never be higher as he continues to age.

That's the way I see it. Probably should have already happened.

The draft is not the same without picks. Let's see what the Suns do with #52.

Maybe they draft there are use it to trade for another pick or player.

Gambo said he expects the suns to trade up in the draft, or trade the pick for a player, but he did not expect them to pick at 52.

Well the other thing that's almost as sure as Wemby is that at some point the lesser of those two Thompson twins Will be on the Phoenix Suns roster, right?
I think that was Sarver Juju.

Oh I liked that lesser brother. I was thinking, give me the shooter!

Mavericks trade #10 and Bertans for #12. Dallas gains a TPE.

It's funny to hear the announcers break down these trades for these specific teams only to find out, not even a minute later, that the dude is traded.

Yeah, I've got the television on mute. It's easier to follow the draft on twitter.

Jett Howard seems like a real reach to me. Just a shooter. And Coulibaly is a surprise, got traded already, I see the length and athleticism but seems really raw to have moved up this quickly.
