Thomas Bryant is one of the players I wanted for the Suns now that Portis is off the table.

Of course Portis coming to Phoenix was a long shot but Bryant is more realistic.

Damn… that’s a good get for them. Was hoping if we landed KD, he’d be one of the guys we could get in here to chase a ring.

Jusuf Nurkic gets a 4 year, $70 million deal with the Trail Blazers. Pretty reasonable especially if he stays healthy.

This kind of disputes the nobody is going to pay for centers anymore theory.

If this dude gets 70, than Ayton is clearly worth 100+ in my mind.

I couldn't agree more. Ayton is more than worth this type of money, $100 million.

Does it dispute that idea? 70/4 is a middle of the road contract for a guy that averaged 15 and 11 last year.

I don't really care what his numbers were, he got more opportunities on that team than Ayton gets.

Eye test clearly tells me, Ayton is nearly twice as good as him, at least when he is putting forth effort.

Agreed. That’s not even 18 million per year. And yet people think Ayton’s worth 30 million per?

He’s just not. And so far, literally NO ONE is making a play for him to be. And all the teams that apparently were going to, clearly went in a different direction.

And therein lies the rub.

If the Suns do the four picks and swaps with the Nets they need to at least hang onto Bridges.

This is a no brainer for me. You can only trade every other 1st round pick. Which means worst case scenario the in-between picks are swaps. Which means you are still drafting during those years. We are going to know by that time if this team is a title team or not anyway.

Since picks can't be traded in consecutive years, this would mean we'd be trading the rights to our draft for the next 7 years.

I can see a package like this for a star in their 20's, but for a 33 year old Durant (turns 34 in september), I say hell no. He could be long retired, to say nothing of declining, and we'd still be handing over first rounders.

The swaps might be a killer though. Anyway, gotta throw for the touchdown inside the 20 yard line.
