I have no confindence in Charlottes ability to develop prospects or even judge talent adequately. So the fact that Charlotte is a bad team and let him go doesn't faze me.

Watching his game and looking at his numbers over the last four years, now that does impact me. He has not improved.

He was with them for 4 years, and nothing improved on a team where even someone with below average talent should have seen time.

If he had only been with them a year, then I'd be right there with you, but he was with them for a long time.

We end up at the same conclusion, just got there different ways.

Sam Amick: As Lakers prepare for meeting with LaMarcus Aldridge tonight, I’m told Kobe Bryant is expected to take part. Not definite, but that’s plan.

That's just sure to go well. After all, it went great with Howard.

"Sign here son, and I will teach you how to play the game of basketball. What was your name?"

He's a pg. So everyone just assumes the Suns are interested. I am sure that the Suns have NO interest in Lin.

Now there was an interesting story for about a season. Man..that guy looked like the next coming for a short period.

Well we need another point guard if we're able to trade Bledsoe or Knight. Jerel McNeal should not sniff the court. Goodwin can play some minutes at the point, but we could use a decent rotation *point* guard if we can please stop the dual combo guard nonsense.

I think we are going to sign Ish back. He was really well liked here. He was competent on the court and content to be a 11th-12th man, while being a very good influence in the locker room.

And he will be really cheap to sign.

Amazing that the Lakers can still go and get top players. :bang:

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA
Around the league, executives believe the Lakers are pursuing space to offer free agent deals to LaMarcus Aldridge and DeAndre Jordan.

There's a reason why teams like the Lakers have a trophy case filled and teams like Suns don't even have a case yet.

It starts from the top. Kupchak has been one of the best in the business for a very long time.

Man, it would help if I could remember who that is. Deron Williams? No. Marvin Williams? No.

And people thought Biyombo may be a bad idea...

Be careful..you are engaging in rumor talk. It's taboo around here you know. No fun for you. Verified rumors only please.

I wouldn't mind having Jeremy Lin on the roster one bit but I don't know how the Suns are going to play all their PGs and SGs. It would be like deja vu all over again.

I definitely think the Suns should give Biyombo a serious look. Charlotte has two young bigs in Kaminski and Cody Zeller in addition to Al Jefferson, Marvin Williams and Jason Maxiell. The fact that they elected not pay Biyombo 4 million for next year I don't find terribly significant.

He's a free agent now so we are not required to pay him any set amount. To begin with he is an excellent rebounder and we need that badly. He's athletic and likes to run the floor so that is a good fit for our style. Coming into the league he was hyped as an elite defender and he hasn't lived up to that but he's not bad - and he is a good shot blocker. I'm not putting too much faith in his 'tracking' rim protection stats because they were pretty average one year and fantastic the other year.

Particularly if Brandan Wright doesn't return we'll need at least one more big though I'd say we should give Biyombo a good look in any case.

I'm glad at least someone believes the Suns should give Biyombo at least some measure of consideration.

It would be nice if the Suns would consider Jordon Hill.
If they whiff on Millsap, I could see Jordan Hill as a fall back option. Wouldn't it be ironic if PHX ends up signing Hill & Davis (whom I actually prefer over Wright) off of last year's Laker squad. Again, I would love to bring in Tyson Chandler who averaged a double double last year but Broussard thinks he ends up in MIL, DAL or LAC if Jordan leaves.

Interesting list. The Hawks are trying to keep Paul Millsap but he could be a decent addition. He last numbers 16.7 PPG, 7.8 RPG and 0.9 Blks.
Millsap would be my #1 FA priority. PHX needs to find a stretch 4 who can rebound and defend, allowing Markieff to come off the bench which he is better suited for.

Millsap, Davis & a full year with Knight should provide an improvement over last year's 38 win team. No need for Carroll as Warren could be a 3&D guy but at a much cheaper price. With the depth in the back court, I'm not sure if Booker will get enough time to showcase his shooting ability.

Derrick Williams was an iiiiiinsane shooter his last year in college. I don't know if the NBA three is just too much for him or if he has had terrible shot selection.

D-Will's problem is he's super unmotivated and spends most of his free time partying. There are games he's had as a pro that make you think he's going to break out, but then promptly puts up a bagel the following game.

At the right price, I'd take him as a rotation guy, but he's probably seeking a contract worth more than his actual value.
