your comments and feelings are commendable on a personal level. and if you're FRIENDS with marion and majerle i understand why you hurt. however, this is both a business and a sport. the ultimate goal in each is to make money and win. if shipping marion out helps the former, good for sarver (and maybe not good for us, but it's his team), if it helps the latter good for us and see ya marion.

I thought I responded to your post, however, I can't find it. Maybe I accidentally lost it. I agree that business is business. If the Suns can get close to fair value for Marion and help the Suns I'm all for it. I was just trying to point out that Marion should be respected for his contributions to the Suns and not just his weaknesses.

How it went this far, I'm not sure. :) Anyway, I respect your opinions.

I'm assuming that's a joke.

No this is actually for real.

See the first paragraph of my first post on page 5. It reads:

The comparison I was trying to make with Marion and Howard is that both are known for their rebounding and spectacular dunks.

Scary, huh. :)

An update from twondog (the guy on the boxden boards)

Teams float stuff to the media to try and get more out of them which is exactly what minny is doing with boston to try and get phoenix to trade amare. Right now phoenix is trying to do a 3 way involving marion to boston, kg to phoenix, ratliff, thomas, telfair, 2nd rounder, 24, 5 and more to the wolves giving them two expiring contracts which will create capspace, three draft picks to rebuild etc.

look all i know is that the paperwork was started....to be honest i dont even know what that means in terms of when the trade will be announced...as far as kevin mchale goes. from what i understand from a wolves insider is that mchale is gonna step down and be replaced by fred hoiberg in the near future so mchale doesnt give a fu*k about what he says in the media or what the perception of him is, its already sh*t to begin with. by havin mchale handle all the kg questions the slate will be wiped clean when hoiberg takes over and people wont attach kg gettin traded with hoiberg.......

as far as the suns tryin to get other teams involved i think your exacly right about this...but the definate is that kg is goin to phx...
While he seems to be a bit rough around the edges, after reading the entire discussion he seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

Just wanted to add some more info, take it how you will.

Well, right, but I already refuted that point.

You may have tried to refute it but that doesn't make it not true. I think both Marion and Howard are known for their rebounding and dunks.

Peace my friend. If we keep going, we might have to write a book.

Oh, "known for," sure, probably. Before, you said that their games were similar. That's completely different from what they're "known for."

Peace my friend. If we keep going, we might have to write a book.

Translation: "I want to have the last word." Okay, go ahead, it's all yours.

man, between e and maintstreet and me, Chap and Yougot, I think this board is in some SERIOUS need of more baseless rumors to get us back to the topic at hand. I mean it's been a couple hours since something else completely uncorraborated hit the wires - don't these journalist/insiders know we're dying over here and if we don't get any new info, we're inevitably going to turn on each other, like we normally do?

Job productivity of Suns and Celtic fans must have severely dropped in the past week. This trade needs to get done. I don't think I can hold out till the draft. If the Suns don't get KG then fine. Just trade him already.

I will see what I can do cheesebeef. I am also trying to get them to throw in one of them Swedish messages.

If Steeldog includes Amare I say we ban him!

Not a chance. If we include Amare I will have to ban myself.

Agreed, anyone who thinks marion sucks is not a true suns fan. If we kept him this year I would be completely content.
But the price we pay him and the underappreciated attitude for a roleplayer is hard to hold on to when potential KG trades are on the line.

personally I NEVER said he sucks... but Ill Im saying is I DON'T WANT the ball in Marion's hands in the last 2 minutes of a game... I don't want him dribbling it, or shooting it...

He doesn't suck, but he is FAR from A "GREAT" player..... I have always said he is a terrfic role player with the mentality of a me first superstar, and IMO that is much of the reported chemistry problem in the suns locker room...
