Thank you sir.

I would not have known otherwise.

Does anybody buy League Pass for the NBA on Direct TV?

Does it work similar to the NFL ticket?

I have NBA League Pass through Direct TV. I don't have the NFL ticket, so not quite sure what your question might be concerning NBA League Pass, but I am willing to try to answer any questions you may have.:D

Basically every game is on the NFL Ticket unless it's broadcasted on national tv.

It has a cool option of checking scores and stats without having to change the channel.

I'm pondering adding another $30 + to my cable/phone/internet bill.

Well, you get every game, just like NFL ticket. As to being able to check scores and stats without having to change the channel, no. There is a separate channel for stats and such though. Hope this helps. I really enjoy having league pass as I live in another state now and can't stand to miss the Suns games.:D I also enjoy watching all the other teams games, can never get enough basketball!

Thanks for the answers.

I moved to Nebraska over the summer and want to get my Suns fix. Looks like I'll be calling Directv for the package and another dvr for the 2nd tv in the house.

You're welcome, and it is well worth the money!

NBALP is definitely worth the money. NFL Sunday Ticket has more unique innovative features, like the Red Zone channel and the Short Cut replays, which are very useful. However, the NFL package is significantly more expensive, so you get what you pay for.

One benefit I like with NBALP is that you also get the streamed games for free on NBA.com and can watch a same-night or next-day archive if you're not able to watch it live.

First... If you have the opportunity... Watch the practice that was on nbatv today. 2 1/2 hours of pure bliss. Some things I caught.....

1. Amare at 1:20 minutes, threw down a monster dunk. On slow-mo it looked like a work of art. His steps were atleast 6 feet a apart. The power and grace this guy shows is amazing.

2. Grant and Marion seemed to be together whenever there was a break. I just keep seeing those two guys together.

3. At around 2:10 minutes Shawn was being interviewed (obviously live) by Andre Aldridge and Eddie Johnson when he first said "****" then a couple of seconds later he dropped an "F" Bomb. We obviously need the guy, but what in the heck was that? And he wonders why Amare and Nash get all of the press. Aldridge even apologized at the end of the show because of it.

4. I felt bad for Richie Frahm when I watched this. Not too bad, but the guy was busting his tail.

5. Boris still doesn't look like a guy who is really trying his hardest. I know, I know.... But I didn't feel his effort.

6. Alando Tucker was almost invisible. DJ.... A little more noticeable. Marion even mentioned DJ in his interview about how DJ will probably get some minutes.

But in the end..... Amare might be one of the most physically gifted people I have ever seen. And I can't wait to see this team in action.

I have both packages.....

NFL is fun and very expensive. In short, if I had to choose one it would be NBALP. Atleast you get 82 games in a season instead of 16.

The cost vs. benefit ratio is VERY high with NBALP. And you basically have something to watch every night for 7 months.
