Tacko Fall has an impact on the game just because of that sheer size. But he is about as unathletic a player as I have ever seen at this level.
Reminds me of Gobert! Gobert was a project. I remember Manute Bol they had on a ridculous high calorie diet aqs a rookie trying to get pounds on that frame. Right now he looks like Shawn Bradley did in college. A lot depends on this guy getting strong.

Bradley, as a one year college player, put up stats that crushed Tacko's. Gobert is not only 5 inches shorter than Tacko but he's also only 3 years older.

Tacko's frame isn't lacking, it's his skill. He does 2 things well; dunk when he has the ball and his arms are within arms length of the hoop and defend when a small defender tries to float the ball over him despite Tacko being directly in their way. All he has going for him is his height. He simply isn't an NBA prospect.

I just don't know how that isn't a flop, there was hardly any contact and Zion hadn't even turned toward the hoop, the defender wasn't even squared up in the direction Zion was moving, they were running parallel and the defender sold out hoping for a call, Zion didn't turn towards the hoop until after the flop cleared his path. IMO, that should never be a foul no matter what point in the game.

I think he flopped because he wound up 12 feet from where the contact was and Zion barely extended his arm. He's strong but that kid that took the fall is not exactly a 98 pound weakling. He flopped. I thought it COULD have been a charge if he'd not flopped so much but wasn't guarantee. The rule says legal guarding position which on the ball means torso facing the offensive player(yes) and 2 feet on the ground(yes). He doesn't have to be set and it doesn't even matter that he leaned in. As long as both feet were on the ground when the contact happened, and I think they were, it CAN be a charge. Doesn't mean it has to be in that instance I think the ref just figured the kid flopped I'm not calling a flop at this point in the game.

Fall said he thought his call was bang bang he doesn't seem to realize he was in the circle

I don't like Duke and I think they often get a lot of calls they shouldn't but I didn't see that happening yesterday. UCF had a lot of self inflicted wounds in the final few minutes. They had a guy leave his feet off a screen and proceed to throw up a joke of a shot (I think he didn't expect to be open), they blew an easy fast break by trying an ally oop that would have had them up 6 late, the lack of boxing out on the putback...

And despite all that, they still had 2 good looks to win in the final seconds that just didn't fall.

Pretty much sums it up for me. I think that COULD have been a charge if the kid held his ground but he flopped. On the Barrett play, Dawkins never even tried to block him out he doesn't move back to make contact he just goes forward. yes he got pushed but you gotta at least try and block out.

UCF had a great gameplan they just didn't make plays down the stretch and obviously Duke was fortunate Dawkins missed the tip
