The Nebraska women's basketball team made another addition via the transfer portal on Wednesday. Maryland Terrapins guard Emily Fisher joined the Huskers for the 2025-26 season.

Fisher spent the first two years of her career in College Park. She played in 52 games, averaging 2.3 points and 2.3 rebounds per game while shooting 41.9% from the field. Nebraska head coach Amy Williams believes her previous relationship with Fisher impacted her commitment to the Huskers.

"We had a strong relationship with Emily from her recruitment out of high school and believe that she fits perfectly with our tough, hard-nosed, gritty, hard-working culture here at Nebraska. She brings a versatility and a willingness to guard almost any position on the floor. We are excited to have her spend her remaining two years here in Lincoln."

Fisher was a Top 100 prospect for the class of 2023 coming out of Libertyville High School in Illinois. As a senior, she averaged 13.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game.
