kid's got the goods. Just looks like a natural runner out there, from kickoff to the swing pass.

Let's keep in mind also that the Cards had been setting up that particular play all game long. It's not like Arians exactly guessed right on this one.

Looked good, but lets get him up to game speed, make sure he can protect Carson, etc., etc. He said on the radio this morning that he didn't even get tackled yesterday. Maybe he needs to get punched in the mouth a couple of times before we crown him.

I loved seeing him line up at WR yesterday, though.

A few miles north.
I was thinking the same thing when he broke off that run....He looked a lot like Marcel Shipp, but obviously a lot faster.

Yeah the number and even the way he runs, but definitely in another gear.

Was thinking the same thing. Still waiting to see if DJ can pull off the patented Marcel spin move.

I think he's going to be special. He's got the goods for sure, and I didn't realize he had the acceleration to go with the speed...that went from a nice first down to OMGWTFJH in a blink. In other words:

Alert the hyperbole police... But he looks a little like Herschel Walker to me with his size/ability to accelerate the way he does. He's just got that effortless look to his game.

He makes me think of what would happen if, like, Barry Sanders, Eric Dickerson and Bo Jackson mixed together their DNA and then impregnated Jackie Joyner-Kearse.

He really does have a little bit of all of them, haha. Great metaphor.

Come on it's early but for a guy with his size to run over 23 mph that's pretty freaking sick

Remember about 5 years ago when the Cards had absolutely zero speed on the offensive side of the ball. I guess they've remedied that.

Heck, they may have the fastest offensive team these days with both Johnson, Brown, and Nelson. Ellington's no slow plowhorse either.

When you realize this is 25, in shorts, without pads, on a treadmill, yeah, 22 in a game with pads carrying a ball, covering real ground is fast.

I seen a distinct difference in impact with Chris Johnson not David! He hurt defenders more than anyone since beanie - consistently - he runs big for a small back in the middle.

I think he will be our best back in no time. I agree that DJ should have at least ten touches per game. We have three very good running backs. I don't think I have ever seen that on a Cardinal team before. Once Iupati and Massie are back I can see our running game getting much better

Iupati yes, but I don't think Massie will be claiming a starting role when he gets back.

Massie is the better of the two at RT. Maybe BASK wants to punish Massie. That could happen, but I don't think it will. I believe Massie will get his job back because he is the better player.

Massie is in his contract year and he won't be re-signed. Watford will continue to improve and Humphries will be ready by next year.

My guess is that BA keeps Watford at RT unless he starts to struggle. Massie screwed up big time and I don't believe the Cards knew he got popped for the DUI. Reason is as soon as we fans heard about the DUI Massie was moved to 3rd string which tells me this is when BA heard about the DUI for the first time.

Come on... The guy was arrested on Cards practice facility property Called in by the security guard on duty?? Do you really believe the Cards had zero knowledge??? That would be a hard pill to swallow if true.

I did consider this but didn't the time line of Massie losing his starting gig fall as I stated? Is it a coincidence? Was it a PR move? Perhaps, but which pill is harder to swallow?

+1. No way that security guard doesn't have to log all calls to the police. Especially if the end in an arrest.
