Neil has been great with the fans at camp, talking and signing autographs.
There was one candid moment Monday morning, before practice began, he came over to a woman sitting in the front row. He pointed at her and said "They are selling sweatshirts up there. You go buy one and I'll pay for it. I'm not joking. Take that off, I don't ever want to see it again".
I do not think she took him up on his offer but she did remove the offensive sweatshirt. It was then that I could see it was from the Bengals.
And say what you want about our fans, many of them knew Rackers played for the Bengals and it did not go well.

LOL That is awesome... rather than being a jerk about it he offered to buy her a Cardinal shirt. I love it.

It was in the low 50's at the time. I woke that morning at my cabin and it was 40.

Shorts weather in February up here, sweatshirt weather in August.
Acclimation's a thing, isn't it?

Rackers was blackballed from the city of Cincinnati after his playing days there. One of my friends from college grew up there. He told me that Rackers could not go out in public without getting ridiculed. He also told me of an instance where he was at a bar and in comes Rackers. Bunch of fans ingnored him and were talking crap. Rackers left shortly there after.

Sure enough, a few years later, he has one of the best seasons a kicker could ever have. I thank the Bengals for throwing him to the curb.

Jerry Springer was once the Mayor of Cincinnati.
