Haters gonna hate

But its a little odd that Suns "fans" would give Bledsoe this much crap so early in the season while the team is still adjusting to new personnel

New personnel? The starting 5 is the same as last year, isn't it?? Thomas is the only newbie seeing meaningful minutes...

Marcus Morris wasn't the starter last year, either. He's earned his place, but let's face it, he's almost like a different player this year.

If Bledsoe is eventually traded, I'm not wanting another PG in return.
Doesn't matter, the Suns wouldn't do it unless we got another PG back.

Suns fetish with PGs is almost as bad as their fetish with brothers.

Its more complicated than that. Frye is out, Thomas is in, Len is playing a lot more. The rotations are nothing like what they were last year, the spacing is different the roles are different.

Article about Reggie Jackson on Yahoo, I thought the last part was interesting

He’s generating a market value that’ll test the Thunder’s resolve in restricted free agency this summer. Every night, executives examine Jackson, and his offer sheet possibilities are climbing into the $13 million to $14 million range. As one Eastern Conference executive told Yahoo Sports: “He’s a bigger Eric Bledsoe – and probably better.”

If Bledsoe was on a terrible team (like Jax is right now without Durant and Westbrook) and he had to eveything like Jackson, he'd probably be putting up similar stats/play.

23 PPG, 7.5 APG... You would think Bledsoe would get to those numbers... He should. He's certainly capable of it...

I do not believe the Suns went after a glut of PGs this offseason although it shook out that way. IT was a steal for the money as seen. Ennis was drafted as BPA and protection if Bledsoe left. As I view it, the Suns have collected PG assets to assist in making a future trade.

Exactly. These are major adjustments. It may take months to build good chemistry.

Perhaps... though Thomas and Green seem to have found that chemistry pretty quickly... while Bledsoe, who has actually played with Dragic, Keef, Plum and Marcus last season, somehow can't.

Again, I'm not a Bledsoe hater. However, when a guy holds out because he believes he's a MAX player, I'm gonna hold him to a very high standard. As a MAX player (in his own mind of course), Bledsoe is falling woefully short...

He didn't hold out, he was a free agent. It might seem like semantics but its that kind of talk that is exactly what I'm talking about when people show a silly bias against him.

He needs to play better, its true, buts its only been two stinking weeks and we've been winning. Take a breath.

I said previously that I realize it's still early and I'm willing to give him more time. But, you can call not whatever you want - what he did this year was a holdout in my book... He believed he was worthy of MAX money. Therefore he believes he's on the level of a MAX player... And, as I said, his play this far is significantly below that of MAX player quality and in fact, it's significantly below the level of contract he ended up with...
I hope he is able to turn it around. He certainly has the talent and ability to do it...
But I will continue to hold him to the highest levels of expectations as I'm sure he would want me to. After all, in his mind he's a MAX player...

Not while he shares the Point with Dragic. Any more than Dragic will repeat as 3rd Team All NBA while he shares the Point with Bledsoe. That's the point. Pardon the pun. :)

And especially while Thomas and Green have opened the door to being the Suns best closers at Guard with the better chemistry.

The two of them leading us to big come-from-behind victories off the bench game after game is very trying on a team. It cannot be a long term solution.

Just as expecting Bledsoe and Dragic to share the spotlight and sublimate their careers is a long term solution.

The PG position is pretty strong around the league. Nobody is going to give up a whole lot for our PGs.

We picked the wrong position to create "assets" in.

Yes on both counts. We've already seen how much interest the rest of the league has in the Suns' assets. They haven't been able to engineer a single trade involving their new assets -- the moves McDonough made were all selling off the old ones.

It looks like Lance Blanks was a better GM (sarcasm).

However, the Suns clearly lack roles and chemistry at the moment.

You are completely right about the points you made. Just got my head wrapped around the GM thing. I think the Suns accrued the best assets they could find, sort of like in the NBA draft, drafting the BPA. Obviously Tolliver is not looking like the best PF available. Now all the Suns can wait for the injury bug to hit other teams or wait to the next draft to fill holes.
