Has anyone seen the billboard on I-17 with the beak? It is a huge billboard with just a field of black except for the upper left corner. The "new" beak is up in the corner. I doubt they would but up that billboard in an attempt to trick us.

On the Flash file, the old logo was on a white egg. The new logo's on a black egg.
The billboards are conspicuously black.
I think it will look great, especially with a red facemask.

It is a big enough jump to have a new logo. I don't think the uniforms will change that much.
Just a guess.
Edit: In addition I think the white border would indicate it belongs on a white background.

the black or white strip really have nothing to do with it. Those colors are used to emphasive the logo itself. They are used like a sort of "highlight". The helmet can really be any color. They just use those to break up the image from the background.

if you look close enough i think you can discerne a light film of purple around the entire logo. almost a halo effect. if you strip out the black egg you can see it clearly. it's a deep, almost bluish, purple. and, this is the kicker, at the very right-hand side of the purple you can make out a grey triangle. the triangle would replicate a corner joint of a facemask perfectly. from all this i surmise that somehow jerry colangelo has finally gotten a foothold into the cards' organization and the helmets will be purple.
