Sounds like you have been drinking the kool aid without sugar?

Same mentality, but the opposite (pessimistic) view.

I stick with the crystal light (neither optimistic or pessimistic) myself :D

But also it doesn't sound like you guys did that either in St. Louis, so don't preach to us. I don't think you are being fair either, because it would be beyond stupid to not want to turn it around.

Bill Bidwill is not a villain, he is a fool and has proven that over the years. If you don't like it, then don't participate, because the only way it will change is if Bill dies (god forbid) or the family sells the team.

You know I wasn't speaking to you. I know what your view is and I disagree with you deal with it!

Sounds to me like you should get a life- St. Louis had nothing to do with Bidwells failure the Rams proved that.

I agree with you. Graves has done a piss poor job in my opinion. I so hope I have to eat my words and it turns out that he knows what he is doing . . .

but I ain't seen nothing yet.

I hope so too! I'd love to be wrong on all of this and this team go 11-5 and make the playoffs. But if wishes were horses this team would have rode a long time ago.

Your post was incendiary, and I tried to take in stride and have some fun with it. Obviously you couldn't sense that, but I won't apologize.

The above paragraph is an indictment of all the fans in Arizona that watches this team, and goes to all the games. We are the ones who support the team in person, live every home game. We aren't a part of the problem. But you obviously think so, either that or you are seriously putting your foot in your mouth.

Accountability or apathy. Anyway, good point.

You must be a 9 year old at home who can't stand criticism. Stop the name calling and go back to watching nickelodeon.

by the way I have never said AZ fans were the problem, it's just that the fans and the media do not ask the tough questions simply because you are too far up Grave's A$$ to hold him accountable so just deal with it! And since you have no maturity whatsoever you are officially on my ignore list. Do not respond to anymore of my posts because in the future I will not answer you!!!

Uhmm yeah, I called you a jerk, which you are.....reading your post it was quite evident.

And I take offense to the suggest that I'm up Graves rectum and revolting at the same time. I think when you make suggestions about others growing up, you might want to look in the mirror first.

If - as I often do - you were to dial up the last page of this thread as representative of the entire thread - you'd dismiss it as one of those: "I didn't insult you/yes you did/no you didn't/you suck." debates.

And that's too bad because there was some pretty meaty stuff said representing various points of views on the earlier pages

Well I don't appreciate being considered "part of the problem" by people that rarely come to this board in the first place.

And I even attempted to be light hearted with him, but he proceeded to tell me that my head was up Rod Graves' rectum.

But to change the topic back to the original premise: Rod Graves has a plan, whether you like it or not.

One question that I would ask Graves, is if this plan was working the way he wanted it too, since we didn't bring in Holliday or Colvin, and missed out on who we wanted on draft day (Jerome McDougle).

St Louis built the Rams the TWA Dome.

Therefore, the Rams situation in STL cannot be compared to the Cards. Period.

Exactly. Good point Ed.

The state of Arizona is doing way more for the team than St. Louis ever did. AZ is giving them a chance to be competitive finacially.

And it should be noted that, even halfway through their Super Bowl season, crowds for Rams games were dick.

St Louis is a baseball town, anything else is just a bandwagon event.

St. Louis in my opinion didn't do enough for the Cards. St. louis should have kept them, on the flipside Bidwill should have found a way to work a deal and he would have had a dome a long time ago. AZ has taken forever to get him a dome-and it's a proven fact every Sunday that the crowds get smaller and smaller. So c'mon don't give me this AZ support speech because it's not there. However, we all know Bill works and I am sure he has peed up the wrong tree more than often.

I will give him at least two offseasons to judge him. He has been given the opportunity to make this his team, and he clearly has tried to do that.

Graves said judge him at training camp. He is not asking for any games or other off seasons.

So, judge him then.

People ask for a honeymoon period - did anyone on this board in their minds give Matt Millen a honeymoon period? Honestly - the second that guy took over that Job he took detriot and flushed them down the toilet - hell they were only a Stoney Case INT from going to the playoffs the year before Millen took over - then he fired his coach, made some horrible personell moves and I seem to recall everyone getting on his case immediately. If we were to do the same to someone else, shouldn't we hold our own orgnaization just as accountable?

Well, if we go 1 and 15, or whatever Millen's record was in his first year at the helm - one has every right to criticize... Until then, take notes.

What? He begged for a stadium for 25 years.

They wouldn't build one because attendance stunk.

Then the Rams moved there, in a new dome, and lo and behold attendance stunk. Then they won a Super Bowl and people jumped on the bandwagon.

No, Ferguson didn't. We signed free agents and drafted willy-nilly and, consequently, never had a "strength" on the team.

At some point you have to say "OK we're going to go cheap at one position and focus our resources on XYZ". Ferguson never did that.

hmm, can't say i agree with you there. he tried to build the cactus patch or whatever dumb name simeon, swann, rice, and smith were gonna have.

Cactus patch? Now that is stupid....but it was Cactus curtain which is almost equally as stupid.
