I would like to point out that the Cardinals are prettly much offensively suited to rampage through the NFC West.

Think about it we are the only team with a huge line, Best Fullback, probably the best tight end average RB's since Faulk is in that group it drops us below Seattle but ahead of the 49ers I believe.

Forget our wideouts they are plenty good all they have to do is rack the defense once in a while when they have 10 in the box and Go routes with Sullivan designing them shouldn't be that hard to pull off if the defense cheats run.

No one I mean no one was afraid of Jakes deep ball because it died all the time and never hit anyone in stride. Blake will cruicify any DB that plays the same coverages as last year, heck McCaddley alone is fast enough to rack up 6 to 10 tds himself with a non-noodle arm QB.

I believe we currently have 2 potential number one recievers Johnson and Gilmore. Who knows how good they are the QB couldn't throw. We have two studley number 2s McCaddley and Boldin and a dogfight for number 3 I prefer Kasper he catches whats thrown to him.....

Anyone who wants to stack 10 in the box go ahead I bet they stop that about the 1st quarter of the first game. Then you turn the hogs loose and bury them alive...

Geez, I pumped myself up.... :)

Mr. Dobler---I hope you are correct Sir. I also feel that we will be pleasently surprised by our WR corps this year and I know our running game will be superb. Even if our defense is somewhat suspect, our offense should be able to keep it close. The games will be a lot more exciting this coming season and we will actually score points in the 1st quarter, maybe even on the opening drive. I don't think that's happened for 6 years.

Interesting note:

The Cardinals highest total home attendence in Arizona was also the year the Cards had their best defense in their 15 seasons in Phoenix.

Of course that was the Buddy Ryan hype selling season tix, but i'd bet most of us die hard fans, if we had to chose, would rather have a dominant, smash mouth D on the field with a weak offense rather than the other way around.

Yeah, right...well on paper anyway.

They're going to have to prove it on the field before I get excited.

Areas of concern:

- Center (Garcia hasn't played a down for us yet, and behind him we have Starkey and Grace who figure to be adequate but not dominating).

- Wideout - Who's gonna step up and be the go-to dude? (Hopefully someone, but no one's gone out and proved it yet)

- Play Calling - Sully's first year. Will the Cards be super-aggressive running a Martz-style offense? Or is that just blowing smoke? - when in doubt, will Mac ask Sully to dial up something less risky?

- We haven't seen Blake play a single down for us yet. He's short. Are we going to see a lot of batted down balls?

- We haven't seen Emmitt play a single down for us...Will he live up to expectations insofar as getting the O-Line, FB and RB's to be more in synch timing-wise? Or will it be more like last year (a couple of good running performances followed by one or two subpar ones)?

- Injuries

I'll agree with you that we're "suited" to "rampage" thru the NFL West. But that doesn't necessarily mean we'll actually "suit up and do it."

The team motto of the Cardinals always has been wait til next year and I stopped keeping track of how often I was excited then got let down.

So it does remain to be seen if they will actually score on people but I just have a hunch, which is better than blind optimisim I felt in the past that it should work this year.

I really can't wait to find out.

Just because Blake hasnt played for US yet, we know exactly what we are gunna get. He is a 12 year vet, there is no suprise here. He is a solid QB with a very nice deep ball...

He is not gunna be MVP, he is not gunna put this team on his back game after game. But he will be very consistant, and move the damn chains! I love it....
