Yup very nice article. The first comment at the bottom is sooo funny! We have sold that stadium out for 4 straight years including pre season. We traveled very well to the SB and still we are called crappy fans. :)

Also have to say I didn't want Kolb. I was hoping for Carson. From the way things sound from camp I'm beginning to like the choice...

Kolb is the man. Ive been reading his comments and tweets today and he has said "Beanie is a hard worker and great teammate" pimped "Andre Roberst and how he is playing in practice" and said he loves "him some Arizona"

I mean I get all that matter is on field production but whats obvious to me is this guy has a high Emotional Quotient. He gets how to relate to his teammates and single them out for praise and I have seen him take responsibility for when things go bad too.

Fitz had a comment in the above artice on how "guys gravitate to him"..... I mean lets be honest, for as awesome as Kurt was on the field, he didn't exactly have that persona in the locker room IMO. Not to bash on Kurt but remember the infamous pool party where nobody showed up? And for every person in step with his bible thumping, there had to be 2 who werent.

I am not saying this to disparage Kurt, but rather to say its been a long time since we had anyone under center who had the "it" factor.

So far so good for Kolb. Anyone else read the Bickley article about how he shot the rattle snake in the head? LOL.

There is some good information the article and also in the companion article, for which a link is provided, below.
They considered four quarterbacks -- free agents Matt Hasselbeck and Marc Bulger, Kolb and Denver's Kyle Orton -- and were close to making a deal for Orton before closing on Kolb.
It points out how the Cardinals organization considered more than one option or possibility. They realized (How could they not, right!) the need to address the most important postition in sports and took a multiple prong plan of attack to deal with it. To me this illustrates significant growth within the organization, particularly in the front office and in the presidents chair, i.e. - Michael Bidwill. This, more than anything on-field, is a cause to give fans hope for the near and long term future of the Cardinals.

Larry Fitzgerald is happy to have a new quarterback, but before the celebration begins, there's something he would like to get straight: He had nothing to do with Kevin Kolb coming to the Cardinals. "...to say that I had any influence on what they're going to do was hogwash."
There is a lot of love out there for Fitz; and rightly so. But, once again, make no mistake about who is in charge of the Cardinals now and going forward. It's not a player or players; it's not Ken Whisenhunt or Bowtie Bill; it's Michael Bidwill, and in my opinion the club is in good hands.

The reason that Fitz reacts so strongly to references to having been involved in recruiting Kolb is that he doesn't want to be portrayed as a company man.

It's a killer in the dressing room.

is there an NFL rule against QB's shaving?

nice article by the way I agree with the main premise the difference between Kolb and what we HAD is so great we had to get him even if it was a steep price.

Three Texas QBs. Good to see Bickley's still getting material from ASFN.
