Oops Robert Ford came from Miami not Tampa

Ignore my comment on Robert Ford, I was thinking he came from Tampa instead of Miami.

Fassell? His record is barely above .500 something like 60-54-1. Check DG's won loss record. When he resigned in 2001 he was the 9th best coach in NFL history.
In his 7 years in NY Fassell made the playoffs 3 times.

In 9 straight years DG made the playoffs 8 times. He never had 1 losing season. He won 2 coach of the year awards to go along with his NCAA coach of the year and the SB ring he won with SF.

There is no comparison.

As for DG hiring coaches check out the people he hired for his first staff and how they turned out in 1992.

These guys were not the huge names they are today when hired by DG: Kiffen and Dungy and Billick and Willingham and so on. He hired a lot of guys who turned out well.

The OC is a long time DG disciple brought in to run the DG offense. If you hire a big name OC they want to run their own offense. He also developed DC and the CINCI WRs.

The DC is a young guy with a record of being a good teach and talent evaluator. That seems appropriate.

Here is the kicker if these guys don't perform DG is not afraid to fire them and bring in new guys.

So when does your biography of Dennis Green hit the bookstore shelves? Now you were out of town when Dennis got involved in all of that hanky panky , weren't you. And I would guess you are no friend of Red McCombs. Blinded by the light.:D :D :D

P.S. Vikesfan????? Not a Cards fan?

Just came back from a two week cruise through the Panama Canal. While sailing I heard that we got D. Green. WOW! My wife and I both said two years new stadium and a winning team. Coach Green has always been a winner. He has put togethger a staff that he can work with. I don't know anything about these guys except what you and I read. The read great Lot's of experiance with good track records.

Till proven otherwise I think it stinks to call the guy out on his choices before they even hit the field. As far as Jericki goes to call the Cards cheap again and blame money on the hiring of this staff is just shear bull. Green would not have taken this job if he had no say in his coaching staff. I would bet that these guys arte being paid the dollars that go with the position of the coach.

Bidwill ate the past coaches contracts..He is cheap.

Hired a top name coach with winning history..He is cheap

Signed all our rookies on time..he is cheap

resigned all but one corner Barret..he is cheap

Has a crappy staff becuase he wont pay..he is cheap

I love the moves I hope it works and we sell out the joint and win some games. Go get em Coach Green you lead and we will follow.

The glass is always half full to me!

GBR

1. Re: "the hanky panky" comment you made, in America sir one is innocent until proven guilty. Believe it or not successful men are often set up by gold-digger criminals. It happens a lot and is documented. Please don't go un-American on me and assume guilt when it was not proven in a court of law.

2. Erickson the SF coach was actually convicted of illegal recruiting he did something wrong. O'Leary committed fraud on his resume. Those guys and others actually did wrong things and their coaching careers are not affected at all.

3. Red is not interested in winning he is interested in maximizing his profit upon sale. That caused DG to resign since DG is interested in winning a SB not maximizing an owner's profit on sale.

4. I am a vikes fan. I came here to set the record straight on DG.
