I believe so. Maybe they thought the could start Ray in g2 and have Godley take over after 4-5 innings instead of wasting them vs Kershaw.

I would’ve gone Corbin over the others to neutralize the left-handed power, but I do agree. Nothing about this lineup tells me that Torey felt he had a chance to win and just wants to get to Game 2.

One of those starts was in April and one was when the Dodgers couldn't win a game. Godley was the better player this season. The Dodgers blowing us out in game 1 with their ACE on the mound is just what they needed.
