The Dbacks did not play sharp

Almost like they sensed the manager had given up on the game so why bother

Still confused why no Iannetta

Oh Jon, dont be a downer man, because nobody likes a downer. You know who people like? Positive thinkers and doers! That's right. If you be a positive thinker like Jon, you'll have a fun time at science camp too!!!

This game was all on the skipper. I know this seems like hindsight coming after the game, but when he announced Walker as the starter I was confused as hell. He is the last guy I would've started. Lamb and Descalso sitting also pissed me off. Yeah, I get the whole lefty-lefty thing, but I just don't get how you can sit a guy coming off a 4-5 performance. That being said we weren't supposed to win this game. Take care of business tomorrow and I think we're in a pretty good spot. IF this comes down to a game 5 Ray vs Kershaw matchup I think we'll have a good shot at pulling this off. Go Dbacks

If anything, Kershaw proved that he's still not an elite postseason pitcher.

Heck, he's not even average. And this is coming from a Dodgers fan. Eventually they'll have to bite the bullet and realize that you will never win a World Series with Kershaw as your ace.

We can absolutely win tonight. It's worth watching if that is what you are asking.

Robbie Ray can be as dominant as anyone when he is really on, and our hitters showed last night they can hang with the Dodgers pitching (provided they are not put in a 4-0 hole in the first freakin inning.)

Dont know what will happen but this Dbacks team is good and has a ton of heart, I think the game tonight will be a good fight. I'd predict the outcome, but we are very superstitious around here, so I'm going to say we lose 10-0.

GO DBACKS!

Other than Robbie Ray evening the series, I have a personal reason for wanting to see him excel. If Robbie and Grienke could win both today (Sat.) and Monday. and we can't wrap it up in Phoenix on Tuesday, it will be Robbie in the final game in L.A. next Thu.

If Robbie can lead us to two wins in this series, he would clearly be the ace of the staff. And the D-backs would be less inclined to keep the eccentric and expensive Grienke, which would mean letting J.D. (who wants to be here) go.

My vote is for Ray to lead the staff next season (with hopefully a solid 2-3-4-5) and an expensive J.D. leading the hitters (with Goldy joining the 1-2 punch) instead of Greinke and Ray (40% of the games) with only Goldy as the difference maker on offense 162 games per season. Lamb has shown for the past two seasons that he can put up slugger's stats in the first half, then disappear for the second half, in addition to his sub-par performance vs. lefties all the time.

I know the odds are against what I am hoping for, but not as much as expecting the D-backs to sweep games 2-3-4.

So how would it work anyway? Can we just cut Zack? Do we have an opt out clause? Can he be traded?

Greinke isn't going anywhere.

I don't want him too. I'm asking how could we if we wanted too. I can only think of a trade and who would take his deal and give us something good?
