5 mill a year part time tv contract or 500k a year 14 hour days QB contract.

You decide.
What's your source for this? I doubt Kurt makes anywhere close to $5 mil for NFL Network. I'd be surprised if he even makes $1M.

I can't even fathom the kind of evil that Manning and Hayley could conjure up together...

If we got Manning and Haley, Haley would essentially just be collecting a paycheck. Coach Peyton manning at the QB position? I mean really? LOL

Haley must be hyperactive/workaholic to just be taking any coaching job he can get. He doesn't need to work, the Chiefs still owe him.

they have much larger problems than todd Haley IMO. That team and its foundation has been on a decline for years. Cowher handed one hell of a team to Tomlin and that team did well but as they have replaced players and built teams since then they have progessively gotten worse IMO.

I saw on another site someone describing their drafts for the years under Tomlin and the results are pretty rotten. Tomlin doesn't have much say in those I don't think, but the Steelers FO has been pretty bad at drafting in the last 5 years to say the least. Gravesesque bad.

Hard to have strong drafts when you're drafting in the 25-32 range every year. It's kind of the problem the Indianapolis Colts had during the Peyton Manning regime.

That problem is compounded by having a very veteran roster with guys on their second and third contracts. Having two veteran safeties, for example, is a luxury that teams can't really afford.

Pittsburgh is a franchise that historically "bottoms out" once or twice a decade, ends up with a Top 10 pick, and then rides that pick for the next decade. This might just be a bottoming out type season for them.

It happens sometimes.

They have only picked 8 time in the 23 years in the 25-32 range. That is irrelavant since looking at this list, they have gotten good player at high and low picks. Alan Faneca was the 26th pick, while Ben was the 11th. There last few drafts have just been poor compared to years past and even good picks like Pouncey are out for the year and when you team is already thinn, losing a player like Pouncy on your O-Line hurts.

This is thier current injury report of who are short term and long term

Le'Veon Bell Out Foot
Cortez Allen Out Ankle
Heath Miller Out Knee
LaRod Stephens-Howlin Injured-Reserve Torn right ACL
Maurkice Pouncey Injured-Reserve Torn right ACL, MCL
Larry Foote Injured-Reserve Ruptured right biceps
Matt Spaeth Injured-Reserve (DFR) Right foot

Not sure why you're going back 23 years. What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

In the last 9 years, the Steelers have picked higher than 16th overall once, and have picked 23rd or lower like six times. And it's not just the first round, it's late in the 2nd, 3rd, etc.

No , it's just that he saw the Steeler team arrive in Cincy in an ambulance caravan Monday night , but IMHO , it could not have happened to a more deserving team .

In 2010, Kevin Colbert was named the Steelers' first ever general manager and was placed in charge of player transactions and acquisitions as the head executive in the Steelers organization.

Might just be that someone was raised to the level of his own incompetence. Or maybe Tomlin is as good a head coach as Whiz.

You JUST SAID:

You're quibbling over how many years bankybruce went back to show how WRONG you are?!?

Would his point have been better made if he had said that the Steelers drafted EARLIER than 25-32 in each of the last two years, 3 of the last 4 years, 5 of the last 7 years, etc.? He correctly pointed out that they have drafted below 25 every year but 8 of the last 23. He could've said "every year but 5 of the last 15."

Either way, your claim was beyond exaggerated, it was just plain WRONG. Your usually valuable and convincing arguments would be much more so if you would admit when you've over-stated your case, rather than trying to pick some nit with someone's rebuttal. Super LAME.
