They are still 3 and 3. Yeah they may not win the division, but I'm not counting them out of the playoffs yet. They play a hapless Carolina team next week. Then the 9ers again after their bye. They can easily be 5-3-1. They still have a pretty good shot at it. I think Seattle has a little tougher schedule ahead of them then the Cards do.

The only 2 games of the next 4 I'd be worried about are the Vikings and Atlanta. If the D plays like they did today, and they some how fix the ST issues, I could see the Cards being 7-3-1. Honestly, I can see them being 10-3-1 by the time they play Seattle again.

I am. Until they show me even 1/3 of what made us great last year, and until the boneheaded plays and coaching changes, I have zero faith we'll make the playoffs.

We have outplayed every team we have played this year except Buffalo. Clean up the mistakes and there is no doubt this team can make a huge run.

Until they show evidence they can actually clean up their mistakes, I have pretty much nothing but doubt they can go on any kind of run.

They are what their record is... painfully mediocre.

In some ways we are better. Namely Defense and Running Game. Also, we are going to have to play right until the end, so we are not going to have a stinker no show like last year with Seattle to head into the playoffs on a down note. We're not perfect, by any means. But we are definitely not toast.

That's totally fair, but to proclaim the season is over when we outplay our opponent week in and week out makes zero sense to me.

The big concern I have is David Johnson's workload being too high. One more game then a bye, we're going to have to find a way to move the ball without DJ touching it so much. I don't care how big and strong and young he is you have to be able to give him a rest now and then and we really haven't since CJ got hurt.

When you continually outplay your opponent and week in week out don't come away with victories, it doesn't seem strange at all to think the team ever will, especially since we're already half way into the season, having played 5 of 7 games at home.

This team isn't good right now and I don't see a magic wand how it gets better. Hope to be proven wrong.

Its just not our year. The Panthers are going thru the same thing. High expectations are crushing this team. You can tell everyones gripping out there including the coach. That All or Nothing series probably wasnt a good idea with the psyche of this team.

Who outplays who is irrelevant in regards to how the season plays out. All that matters is who wins and this team hasn't figured out how to do that.

I'll be shocked if this team can recover from last nights bloodbath that didn't end in a W! Mentally it was crushing IMO & even many players said it felt like loss, including Fitz. Last night was the dagger that leads to "nothing" instead of "all".

Throw in the fact we're headed to Carolina, an early start & the Panthers coming off a bye ugh. I think this team comes out flatter than a 2 week opened Dr Pepper & gets crushed Sunday.

Sometimes it just not "in the Cards" lol for a playoff berth. It just goes to show you how close many teams are a few plays made from 11-5 to 8-8. The small details & focus really matter in the NFL.

I fear the same. If ANY game will give you a lingering hangover, it was last night.

I actually think the team comes out strong next week for some reason.

I went home pissed last night. I was livid at how that game played out. Some questionable decisions from BA allowed the Hawks to stay in the game. To say this team doesn't have the guts to come back from a tie??? My god I hope they are not that weak minded.

If it does it's got bigger brass ones than its HC. Hope I'm wrong, but I just can't see it. If they won maybe, but not winning that game was crushing!!!

Crushing? No, LOSING that game in OT would have been crushing - this is a chance at redemption. I believe we will continue to see a shift in our offensive philosophy over the next few games to adjust to Palmer having a down year and Floyd pooping his pants.

So you feel better about this team after last nights game? The Cards played their ass off & left everything they had on that field & not winning it is crushing mentally IMO & physically draining. Plus the injuries keep mounting. Players even said it felt like a loss, including Fitz.

Again I hope I'm dead wrong but it's gonna be a tough road to emotionally have that same fire this week, on the road, early & in Carolina despite their record. It's just human nature.

I'm glad the players felt like it was a loss. Much better than being complacent about it.

http://www.nfl.com/playoffs/playoff-picture

^^In any case, there's no statistical reason for counting them out at .500 this early in the season. The bubble teams ahead of them are Detroit, Washington, and the Giants at 4-3. The Lions play at Houston this week, Washington plays the Bengals in London this week, and the Giants are on a bye.

Eagles and Cowboys play each other. Falcons and Packers play each other.

If the Cards beat Carolina next week (which would be sweet revenge regardless of Carolina's troubles) they'll be 4-3-1 in the thick of a bunch of 5-2, 4-3, and 4-4 teams.

This years team has to learn or to figure out how to win, how to get over the hump to score one more point as the opponent.

The Cards have the chance, with a win the story would be different. With a loss too, so we have a good chance for a wildcard spot for now. But we need to figure out how to win, the Panthers game is a must win.

Maybe. Maybe we'll see changes on offense, and continued, respectable defense.

But it won't matter.... why?

We're not winning anything with this special teams unit.

It's cost us two games already, and we'll never beat a Dallas or a full strength NE playing so poorly in that phase of the game.

You know what, our special teams coach sucks but for god sake, this is not some complex offensive or defensive formation that it should take a special teams coach to get these guys to play football. If anything, it is what the moron Amos is telling them to do against their gut instincts in my opinion. For instance, if some guy is jumping you to get to the kicker, you think a professional long snapper would make themselves more of an obstacle or even a guard would veer in that guy's direction. I am not in the locker room, I have no idea how this team feels. Maybe they are totally ticked off and want to ball next week for a win. I do see this defense coming together. I do see the offense finding an identity around Johnson but so many people seem to forget that Seattle has a great defense and what the Cardinals did on Sunday night was enough to win if Cantmakeafieldgoal gets a chip shot which the defense and offense afforded him
