Not gonna lie, I'm a little nervous about the Niners.

That play was only the tip of the iceburg. A lot of other things had to go wrong in the 4th to lose the game, and they did.

But even with all those things happening, Rackers could have delivered the win with a makeable FG. Just like the week before we could have come back and tied it after a late collapse.

Speaking of the Niners, anyone ever wonder why they play shows on the 49ers every single night over and over?

Looks like I re-hijacked it. For the 49th time. I must pray to the patron saint of internet message boards--St. Francis.

Super Bowl Championships give your team a 25 year term as a media favorite no matter how poorly they perform in the years after.

Five makes you a daily topic.

The loss to Chicago put the Cards into such a slump... Two close games and then the debacle know Oakland vs. the Cards!!!

I don't know which of those two games (chi-town or Oakland) I hated more last year!!!!!

It was the St Louis / KC / Chicago games that defined the season

three games where defeat was snatched from the jaws of victory, each in more unbeleivable fashion than the one which preceeded it.

Any team might lose a game like that every couple of years, but to lose three in a row in one year defies belief.

Think about the things that had to happen in each of those games that caused the loss -- it wasnt just one thing -- it was a series of three to five things -- any of which if they didnt happen would have resulted in a Cardinal win.

St. Louis had that game won then tried to hand it to us, and we just handed it back. But they had it won, not us.

Both teams had it won. Once the Rams turned the ball over it was the Cards game all the way. Of particular importance was that for once a miracle break was going in the Cards favor instead of against them and they had a perfect opportunity to create a new image for the team to go with the new stadium and their 1000s of new fans. Sadly they turned over the ball instead of a new leaf.

Kurt Warner threw two interceptions when the Cards had the ball first and goal inside the 15 and 10 yard lines, respectively. Not just interceptions, bad, awful, rookie QB type interceptions. You kick two field goals there and the Cards win.

A few punts on third down, and they beat the Bears easily ;)

After everything that went wrong it still came down to this:

4-2-CHI23 :)52) N.Rackers 40 yard field goal is No Good, Wide Left, Center-N.Hodel, Holder-S.Player.

Ahhhh the life of a Cardinal fan.

But that was in the past. We have new coaches now so Rackers will never miss another FG, and we need to move on.
