Outside of the Bills, Eagles, Chiefs, & maybe Cowboys depending how Dak looks, every other team looks mediocre. Daboll has done an incredible job with the Giants, but they’re still talent deficient in a good amount of areas.

They were talking about the lack of downfield offense this year on the radio this morning. Way too much dink and dunk short stuff.

Check out Herbert's stats from last night: 37 of 57 for 238 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception.

This is very interesting.

Is it due to lower quality offensive lines, some kind of defensive change that has propagated around the league?

One thing I have noticed is it seems the running game is being deemphasized on most teams. Are offenses becoming more one dimensional and thus easier to defend?

Whatever the reasoning, it does feel like the NFL product is worse.

Wonder if this is a product of the extra regular season game and guys not playing in preseason?
I really don't think so.

Even when the starters did play, it was equivalent to one game of playing time. At worse that should delay the quality of play a week or so. If that was the cause we would not still have bad offense 6 weeks in.

There's an edge to defenses right now with high safeties.

Even Allen and Mahomes have been limited at times, as well as most of the NFL. Offenses just haven't adjusted yet.

Part of the reason Kyler, etc, aren't successful deep as they once were.

Yeah what on earth was that? Is the Denver secondary that good?

The NFL right now is about the haves and the have nots. Half the teams are in dire straits. For whatever reasons being, a lot of QB’s are struggling right now. One thing is certain. The NFL won’t stand for that. They want offense, offense, offense. If this continues, there will be rule changes to help the offense at season’s end. Just the way it is. We’ll never again see the Steel Curtain or Purple People Eaters defenses of decades ago.

That's what I keep hearing. Teams are playing alot more two high safety and forcing teams to play underneath.

That's what the Cardinals are doing, right? I guess it's working better this year? I don't see as many way too easy cushions.
